employees on the appropriate use and importance of PPE’s before heading for work.

Considering the mix of the employees in our organization and the current health sensitive

topics, this year we organized “HIV Aids” awareness programme for labor class people and

“Swine flu” awareness programme for all the employees.

In our endeavor to contribute our bit to the social progress of the country and enabling

better quality of life for our local communities, this year we tried to help our country in the,

“Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan”. All our employees cleaned the factory premises and nearby

areas. We have taken this first step towards community betterment and will explore more

opportunities in future to make our journey on sustainable path more significant.

Materiality Analysis

Management Approach:

Identifying Sustainability issues of critical importance is essential for developing a focused

and comprehensive sustainability strategy for our company. Therefore, it became necessary

to institutionalize a process for identifying the material sustainability issues and challenges for

the company and its stakeholders. The intent of setting up such a method is to deliberate

and focus keenly on the issues that impact us and our surroundings and which would also

create the path for future growth.

Our Process of Identifying Material

Aspects

A laundry list of material issues was prepared by KPMG in consultation with the senior

management at Genext Precision. The factors considered while listing down material issues

were; media reporting, internal review, external peer review, sector specific standards and

regulations and research on wider social and environmental trends and challenges.

Stakeholder’s were identified and prioritized based on their influence on Genext Precision

and Genext Precision’s Impact on the stakeholders. Employees, Customers, Suppliers,

Investors and local community were the key stakeholders considered in this study.

The internal and external stakeholders (except community) ranked the material issues on a

scale of 1 – 6 (where 1; very low, 2: low, 3: medium; 4: high, 5: very high and 6 is not

applicable) based on the impact and importance of the material issue for Genext Precision.

The local community’s feedback on material issues was taken and incorporated though one

to one interactions.

Management Approach

While the global demand for engineered automotive components and vehicle parts is

constantly increasing with the ever-growing automobile sector, it also indicating an

increased use of natural resources for the production of the same. This demand is expected

to only increase at a prolific rate in the future.

We realize that these resources are shrinking and therefore the need of the hour is to utilize

them as efficiently as possible and reduce the wastage to the maximum extent possible.

To reduce the environmental footprint in our operations, we are in the process of taking

measures for improving the efficiency of our processes and using the energy resources

optimally. At the same time, we are enhancing our efforts towards recycling and reusing

waste, thereby reducing landfilling. We ensure that our operations do not incur any negative

impact on our surrounding biodiversity.

Materials

As a company that is involved in the process of manufacturing various automotive parts and

assemblies, we believe that it becomes important to know the amount of resources

consumed and also the materials that are recycled or reused in order to increase the

environment as well as the economic efficiency. (Confirm for the packaging materials –

The technical standard for resource use along with the guidance note helps us to mitigate

the environmental impact of our products.

steps in the value chain – from transportation of raw materials to the plant, to the production

of automotive components at a single site and further the dispatch of the final products to

our customers. This seamlessly coordinated production chain and the concentration of

expertise, provide an excellent basis for symbolizing product characteristics while at the

same time reduces energy and resource consumption.

Being a quality conscious organization; we strive hard for achieving the highest standard of

the quality in each product. We believe in ensuring compliance to indicate confirmation to

performance parameters and also reduce financial risks. Our quality policy is very stringent

conforming to ISO/TS16949 standards.

manufacturing our entire range of products and services. We have defined processes in

order to ensure that our machining centers, machine tools and components, special purpose

machines etc. meet global industry standards and that raw material of the highest quality go

into our production processes.

Customer Satisfaction Surveys

customers in the form of a performance score card. This score card evaluates our

performance based on following parameters like customer perceived quality performance,

plant quality performance, certifications, plant delivery performance and system

Social Performance Management Approach

A skilled, committed, knowledgeable and enthusiastic workforce has always been the priority

at Genext Autotech. We also believe that having the correct balance of right talent and skills

will prove to be a key success factor and shall also be an important parameter in defining

our future growth as well.

Inclusion and empowerment of people in the organization will make them more creative

and productive and also due emphasis needs to be laid on understanding the employees’

concerns and their expectations to enhance their efficiency levels. We aim to continuously

improve our employee engagement schemes so as to provide our workforce with a

conducive work atmosphere and also look towards developing further strategies towards the

overall development of our employees.

We have always maintained the fact that each of our employee should get equal

opportunities to hone their skills, which is why they are provided with a number of training

and learning sessions which help them increase their skills in their area of expertise. Also to

keep our professionals abreast of market trends & technological advancements, we arrange

a number of interactive and learning sessions for them.

Considering the type of production and manufacturing processes that are carried out at our

organization, ensuring the occupational health and safety of the workforce in the firm is also

of utmost importance. Various control systems and devices, O&M systems, compliance

audits, inspection and maintenance, safety equipment, risk management should thus form

an integral part of our sustainability strategy at Genext Autotech.

Also, taking into account the issues related to workforce/ labor as well as the concerns

regarding various human rights at the workplace is of utmost priority for us as our employees

Employee Events

Any organization gains success because of

its innovation and technology but it is

employees who create the organization.

We consider our employees as our most

important stakeholders. At Genext Precision

Autotech Pvt Ltd we believe that our

employees should know how important

they are for us and how much we value

their contribution.

We had arranged an ESIC “Janjagruti

Abhiyan” in coordination with ESIC Nasik

Branch office to create an awareness in the

employees about the benefits they are

entitled to have in the organization. It was

attended by all the employee including

permanent staff, operators and contract

labor.

This “Janjagruti Abhiyaan” imparted

information on the hospitals in Nasik which are

having tie-up with ESIC and how the

employees as well as their family members

can reap benefit of this scheme.

Employee Events

We at Genext Precision firmly believe that

employee satisfaction is our best reward.

This year our management have taken

some initiatives on celebrating few special

moments with our employees like

employee birthdays and New Year

celebration.

We celebrate employee’s birthdays in an

environment friendly way by gifting the

employee with a flower grown in our own

garden along with chocolates which are

distributed to everyone.

We treat our employees equally and same is

followed by celebrating the birthdays of all the

levels of employees including our managing

director of the organization.

This year Genext Precision Autotech tried to

create a common platform where

Managing Director can meet every

employee on the shop floor as well as

contract labours on the occasion of new

year and gave them sweets and blessings.

This initiative helped in fostering the trust of

the employees.

Occupational Health and Safety:

Any manufacturing company faces issues related to workmen safety. Hence, it becomes a

necessity to provide a healthy and safe working environment and also form strategies

related to assisting workforce members or their families regarding such hazards and risks etc.

In FY 2014-15 we did not encounter any case of reported injuries, occupational disease and

fatality which makes us believe that the zero injury target is achievable and make us feel

satisfied that we are not lacking in our approach towards health and safety of our

employees.

We conduct regular fire Mock Drill every six months to train the workmen and all the staff on

the emergency preparedness during any even of fire breakout in the organization. It mainly

focuses on the use of fire extinguisher.

This year we have conducted two fire mock drills in the months of September 2014 and

February 2015

Health Awareness Session 1

We are very particular about the health of our

employees and we take their wellbeing as our

prime responsibility. We keep regular check on

the updates over any health issues in the

company as well as any epidemic diseases in

the society which can impact them. This

initiative taken by us helps build us trust among

the employees that we care for them.

This year had been disastrous for many people

worldwide as swine flu created allot of health

issues and even took many lives in our country.

Hence we took “Swine Flu” as a topic for

employee health and safety training. In Nasik

city also swine flu created a havoc by taking

the death toll to 17 this year.

We consulted civil hospitals in the Nasik city

for gaining detailed information on swine flu

and prepared posters to display this

information to our employees. This created

an awareness among our employees about

the disease and its preventive measures.

Health Awareness Session 2

Most of our workmen/ contract labourers are

uneducated, poor and unmarried which puts

them at high risk of contracting HIV Aids.

Since our considerable amount of workforce

includes contractual workforce, we took it as

our responsibility to make them aware of the

Aids.

Hence we arranged a training session

through which the labourers gained insight

on reasons and preventive measures to

avoid this deadly disease. This session was an

open forum discussion which brought out all

the related queries of the labours and our

officials helped them get resolved.

Health Awareness Session 3

A good work environment is always a

motivation for employees. Considering the

type of processes at our manufacturing

facilities and the work pressure on our

employees we have always maintained a

stress free work environment for them. We

arrange compulsory morning exercise

sessions for all our employees to keep them fit

and energetic throughout the day.

This session keeps employees healthy as well

as increases their work efficiency.

Also, since safety is of prime importance to us,

we provide PPE’s to all our workmen and

after everyday workout we keep a small

training session on importance and use of

PPE’s. This ensures us the regular and proper

use of the given PPE’s by our employees and

contractors.

CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Management Approach

Working along with our communities to support their development, alleviating their concerns

and at the same time minimizing potential impacts of our operations has been identified as a

long-term way to create a sustainable overall growth for the company as well as create a

positive image of the company in the minds of all our stakeholders as well as the public in

general.

As an organization that creates significant economic value through its operations, we

believe in showing commitment to various community development initiatives as these local

communities are in a way major contributors to our success by providing us raw materials,

manpower and other support during the processes at our manufacturing facilities.

Working towards their significant concerns and issues and handling or managing them not

only shall prove to contribute towards their overall development but also add to our

profitability in one way or the other.

Community Event Identification of the ‘right’ programs for social

or community development to have maximum

benefits is of critical importance to us.

The general procedure followed a Genext

Precision is to conduct need-identification by

interacting one to one with the local people

followed by discussions and feedback

suggestions.

This year we have taken our first few initiaves

towards our responsibility for nearby

communities. As a community service we

opted to support our PM Mr. Narendra Modi in

his “Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan” and we

made all our employees participate in this

event.

We had conducted a cleanliness drive in our

factory premises and nearby Ganesh Nagar.

Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan

Looking at the unavailability of drinking water at Sinnar, we provided drinking water facility at

Sinnar ghat for locals. Adhar Ashram students were lacking proper seating arrangements,

hence we provided that facility for the students. Although it’s a starting year for us we will

continue to increase our efforts in coming years.
