for

Toward becoming a social innovator creating new value in the next era-- We will earn greater customer trust and

contribute to an affluent society

Hitachi Kokusai Electric was formed in October 2000 from the merger of three Hitachi Group companies engaged in businesses related to video, wireless communications, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Since then, we have helped build infrastructure for a safe and affluent society under our corporate statement (“Hitachi Kokusai Electric Group strives to realize a society of security, safety, and happiness; creates value by applying advanced technologies; and pushes the boundaries of tomorrow”) and the Hitachi Kokusai Electric Way (“1. Customers First; 2. Global Leader; 3. Human Assets; 4. Basics and Ethics; 5. Harmony, Sincerity, and Pioneering Spirit”). To do this, we are actively engaged in creating new value in the area of "Video and Communication Solutions" and in the area of "Thin Film Process Solutions".Hitachi Kokusai Electric Group divested the thin-film process solutions business (business related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment) in June 2018. We started under the new framework, using our strengths of video, wireless communications, broadcast and transmitter technologies. Responding to qualitative changes in the social infrastructure has become a major issue. In light of this, we will make use of our strengths and shift our focus from system-type products that revolve around our video and wireless technologies, to solutions businesses such as video security solutions and risk management solutions for a safe and secure society, as well as to advanced sensor solutions that utilize IoT sensor technology and big data. The Hitachi Kokusai Electric Group will continue to work towards further enhancing customer trust and creating an affluent society though monozukuri.

The Hitachi Kokusai Electric Group pursues “MONOZUKURI*” and provides true value to help resolve social issues, including taking measures to assure safety and security, protect the environment, and combat global warming through use of our video and wireless systems technology, and by upgrading and integrating those systems.Hitachi Kokusai Electric will continue contributing to society and shall grow by providing products and services in which the emphasis is on safety, quality and the environmental soundness.

MONOZUKURI* for a society of security, safety and happiness-- Applying advanced technologies for Video, Wireless

Communication, broadcast and transmitter Technologies

*MONOZUKURI is defined as all creative activities carried out by the Hitachi Kokusai Electric Group, including the development and provision of products and services, among others.
