Set within 200 acres of glorious parkland in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the extensive grounds offer an ideal location for a wide range of diverse activities.

The varied grassland, woodland and lakeside sites provide the perfect backdrop for large capactity music festivals and concerts, outdoor entertainment, corporate events, team building and country pursuits. The parkland provides easy entry for site vehicles using a number of road access points, with extensive areas for off-road car parking.

The permanent marquee, with views across the stunning Azalea Ring within the Garden, provides the perfect setting for intimate drinks receptions, birthday and anniversary celebrations. It’s also an ideal space for corporate away days, business meetings, conferences, training sessions and parties.

Whatever the occasion, the marquee offers an attractive and flexible space with formal seating for about 50 guests around 6 round tables or up to 120 guests for a less formal buffet-style layout. The marquee can be extended for larger parties.

ELIZABETHAN MANSIONFor unique events within a historic family home

The impressive soft, grey stone Elizabethan Mansion sits at the heart of the Borde Hill Estate and remains the home of the 4th generation of the Stephenson Clarke family. Steeped in history dating back to 1598, it was built by Stephen Borde, whose grandfather was linked to the courts of Henry VIII and Edward VI.

The interior of the House evokes its glorious history with the principal rooms retaining the stately splendour of a bygone era. It offers a unique venue for exclusive hire for private entertaining, meetings, filming and other events. The stunning Dining Room can host up to 20 guests for a fine-dining meal.

Picture perfect in every way...

The magnificent backdrop of the handsome Elizabethan Mansion and distinctive garden ‘rooms’ that make up the 17-acre formal garden, offer a wide selection of filming and photoshoot opportunities.

Photographers and film production companies cannot help but be inspired by the quintessential English Rose Garden, with more than 750 varieties of David Austin roses. Designed with a soft geometric layout of rose beds framed by striking topiary and border hedging around a romantic central pool, it is one of the many photographic highlights of the garden.

The Italian Garden with its far reaching vistas from the terrace and the pure Mediterranean charm of its formal lily pond and dramatic seasonal planting, offers another serene and tranquil canvas for fashion shoots and diverse filming backgrounds.

The changing seasonal colour also deliver unique photographic opportunities with vibrant rhododendrons and azaleas and carpets of bluebells in Spring giving way to a riot of colour in the Summer borders and a blaze of rich Autumnal reds, yellows and oranges.

By Car: Borde Hill is 1½ miles north of Haywards Heath, 20 minutes from Brighton and Gatwick Airport on the M23 via Junction 10a and 1 hour from central London. There is ample free parking.Sat Nav: RH16 1XP

By Rail: Direct trains from London Victoria and London Bridge to Haywards Heath take around 45 minutes. Trains from Brighton take around 15 minutes. Taxis are available at the station for the short transfer to Borde Hill.

Conveniently located between London and Brighton and with Gatwick airport within easy travelling distance, Borde Hill is well served by all major transport links.
