Secur-it’s CCTV monitoring station is key to delivering a stream lined service, with the station being located in the heart of the UK in the Midlands, this is where our dedicated SIA licensed operators ensure that assets and infrastructures

are always secure.

Secur-it conduct regular risk assessments in order to keep each location performing at its optimum level in a secure and commercial manner. The operator responds to any CCTV alarms as they occur, tracking intruders, issuing audio warnings and calling upon our mobile response teams and/or The Police as required. Full incident reports are produced within 24 hours, with all details

being available on request from Secur-it’s Operations Director.

The strength of our CCTV and supporting systems, is in the products and the operators that man the equipment remotely. Following a seven-year career in the British Army, which saw Richard serving operationally in Northern Ireland, he has worked within security management for over nineteen years. Working closely with clients, industry leaders and regulatory authorities to understand the market’s challenges and commercial requirements, whilst developing priorities, resources and business models by directing

his senior management team.

Richard has successfully directed and managed the re-branding and market position of Secur-it. As Managing Director Richard provides Secur-it with an unrivalled combination of experience in operations, logistics, leadership and management. It has been these foundations that have resulted in Richard Directing one of the most successful

Security Company’s within the UK and Europe.

Richard is a proven high achiever within the commercial security industry, able to coordinate concurrent business opportunities, whilst sustaining the highest level of delivery and client satisfaction. Richard has coordination of all facets of the Company consistent with strategic intention and operational requirements; strategy evaluation, whilst ensuring continued liaison with all stakeholders.

SENIOR MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE



Matthew FisherOperations Director

Matt began his career as a Royal Marines Commando and completed six years service, during that time he deployed to various challengingenvironments from the Jungle, Arctic and the Desert. Matt left the armed forces to pursue a career as a professional sportsman whilstsimultaneously setting up his own business. After gaining considerable experience in the commercial sector he then transferred his skill set to the private security sector. He has regularly operated in hostile

environments around the world.

Matt is a firm believer in the team approach, with an emphasis on customer service. He maintains close relationships with our customers and business partners, both directly and through the operational teams, and is always looking to improve the services of

Secur-it.

Having successfully implemented ISO 9001 Accreditation into Secur-it, Matthew is key in development within the company.


Matt’s implemented strategy is to:

Define, implement and maintain appropriate operating standards and principles across the business to maximise synergy, sharing of best practice and commercial benefit

Ensure the actions of the business and the Operations team within it are aligned with the Secur-it Group values

Through the professional management of others, ensure results are delivered and internal and external client expectations are exceeded

Liaise and consult with key stakeholders to define and deliver on requirements

Steve HandsCommercial Director

Steve began his career as a Royal Marines Commando and completed seven years of service in some of the worlds’ most arduous environments, under the most challenging of conditions and on a number of occasions he supported UK Special Forces Units. Upon leaving the armed forces Steve entered the private security industry; he has operated in an array of close protection appointments on a global scale, from Iraq to the pirate infested waters of the Gulf of Aden. Taking command of four man teams that have served within Elite or Special British forces, Steve has first hand experience, as an

on the ground operations coordinator.

Steve progressed within the World’s largest maritime security company to become the MD of the land based service offering. This is where Steve progressed within the commercial side of the security industry and soon realised a passion for exceeding clients’ expectations. Steve has an enthusiastic, comprehensive, cross-sector selling approach with a successful track record of delivering results, being well aware that, all parties require tangible evidence

that his substantive service can be consistently delivered.


Steve is responsible for business development, planning and sales administration and will play a key role in helping to deliver a

client-driven approach within Secur-it.

Taking ownership of services and products that are presented to the commercial market and only participating in sectors where Secur-it can make a significant contribution.

Ensuring deep collaboration and cross-pollination of service delivery. Not settling for anything less than excellence.

CHAIN OF COMMAND

Secur-it employs a strict vetting process for all its personnel. Security guards are employed on either recommendation or on merit with confirmed qualifications, at least five years employment history/experience, character and employment testimonials. The vetting carried out by Secur-it not only ensures we provide a professional and quality service but reduces our client’s liability and responsibility.

Each guard will be physically fit and have the following documentation in accordance with BS 7858:2012:

In date Criminal Record Checks Five year history of employment Five year history of address SIA licence Evidence of right to work in UK CSCS Card Passport / Drivers License Proof of address (within three months)

Secur-it Human Resources (HR) manages a bespoke database dedicated to operations, inventories and equipment etc. The HR department also ensures all current employees are up to date with all required documentation.

SELECTION AND VETTING OF PERSONNEL



Due to the increasing volumes of personnel attempting to work within the Security Industry, individuals who are unable to obtain them for legal or financial reasons are now forging documents. To counter this, Secur-it fully complies with British Standards Institute BS 7858:2012 Security Screening of individuals employed in a security environment – Code of Practice.

Once a candidate’s documents meet the required BS 7858:2012, they are invited for an interview. During the interview we conduct due diligence on an one to one basis enabling the HR department to establish:

Competence within a commercial environment Demonstrable evidence of security guard experience Competence in a stressful environment Maturity and the ability to instil confidence in others A consultative approach to managing the relationship with a client Ability to adapt their approach to a task in accordance with different clients needs and cultures

Candidates who do not reach the above criteria will not be considered for the second phase of the employment process / interview.

At the second phase of the interview process they are invited for an induction briefing at the Securit head office. The brief is delivered by the operations manager, all subjects covered are in line with the Static Site Guarding and Mobile Patrol Service - Code of Practice BS 7499:2013 and Door Supervisors – Code of Practise BS 7960: 2005. The candidates will be assessed against the following Core competency criteria as appropriate:

Awareness of Law in the Private Security Industry Health and Safety Fire Safety Awareness Emergency Procedures The Private Security Industry Communication Skills and Customer Care Roles and Responsibilities of Security Officers Patrolling Access and Egress Control Searching Technology and Systems in the Security Environment The Security officer and the Law Communicating, Reporting and Record Keeping Avoiding Conflict and Reducing Personal Risk Defusing Conflict Resolving and Learning from Conflict Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management for Security Guarding Secur-it site specific Standard Operating Procedures

PERSONNEL DUE DILIGENCE

If the candidate is deemed suitable and is competent with the above criteria then they will be offered employment by Secur-it.

The employee will be issued with a compliance agreement adhering to uphold these principles in the course of their work. Secur-it will provide regular in-house training and quarterly appraisals to support the personal development of the employee. As part of the induction process Secur-it also outlines the disciplinary and performance management procedures that will be carried out if these rules and guidelines are not adhered to.

At this stage, if our stringent process has been met then we offer successful candidates a position. At the paperwork due diligence stage of recruitment, the failure rate of prospective candidates is 15% who do not go forward to the next level. Of those candidates who attend an interview/induction day we select one out of every three candidates that we meet.

Personnel due diligence is always at the forefront of the minds of Secur-it Directors. In an industry where competition is much stronger and prices have been driven down, we strive to ensure the quality of our personnel continues to improve.

Secur-it ensures that its’ guards have no history of mental illness by requesting a doctors letter from their General Practitioner confirming that, the guard has no history of mental health illness such as depression that could affect their work performance. Also, confirmation that they have no history of drug or alcohol abuse.

Secur-it’s key responsibility here is to ensure that there is no evidence in terms of mental health, or previous drug or alcohol misuse that would preclude them from employment within the security industry.



We require candidates to have an in-date medical from an accredited general practitioner (Doctor) in the United Kingdom. This satisfies us that they are fit enough to work. In terms of physical fitness we do recruit a certain profile of security professional that posses both physical fitness and professional experience to do their job within

the business.

PHYSICAL FITNESS

Operational Delivery:

The Operations Director oversees the everyday running of the operations room, using his extensive experience to ensure all measures are used to deliver optimal performance. Briefs and de-briefs are undertaken as well as post task reviews where all guards opinions are considered, to ensure the smooth running of instructions and to ensure an ethos of continual improvement as a unified team.

OPERATIONS



Having the ability to act and respond to any client request 24 hours a day is key. Our client, field service engineer or guard will be able to contact Secur-it Operations on a 24-hour 7 days a week basis. All Secur-it Operations staff have previous experience of operating as team leaders and as such, have key knowledge of security awareness and security operations, but also the commercial understanding for timely delivery of solutions that ultimately reduce liabilities and cost.

OPERATIONAL HOURSIt is the policy of the management to comply with the terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation relating to the provision and maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment. This is brought to the attention of all Secur-it employees and contractors.
