1-1 Registration of patient

1-2 Modify and delete patient record

1. Management Patient Information

Type in all the information and click “Add”

Click “Modify” icon to modify patient information

Click “Delete” icon to delete patient

(Default password : 0000)

Move to “Patient” Tab. Click the “Add Patient” button from the tool bar.

The “Add Patient” window will be popped up.


Double click on Search box. On-Screen Keyboard will be popped up.

Double click on “SEARCH” box, On-screen Keyboard will be popped up.

Type in [Chart Number] or [Patient’s Name] and then click “SEARCH”

You can type in “A” for the patient whose name starts with “A”

2-2 Mencari Data Pasien Pada “Last X-Ray Capture Date”

Click the [+] button on the right side of “SEARCH” box.

“Search for Patient” window will be popped up.

You can select Image type and Query Period to search patient(s) for 1 day(today), span 2 days, 3 days, a week and a month.

If you want to search more than a month, you can use “User”.

The “User” function requires start and end dates.


3. Importing Image(s)

You can import Panoramic, Cephalometric, Intraoral X-Ray, Intraoral Camera, DSRL image and CT image.

1. Click “Import”

2. Select image type

3. Click “File Import”

4. and select file(s) that you want to import.

5. Select file(s) that that you want to save to database.

4. X-Ray Imaging

Click “ACQUISITION” Tab and select capturing mode from “Acquisition" Tool

Select patient's size (Hard, Normal and Soft) and then click “CONFIRM”

Make patient positioning.

And then click “READY”. Press and hold “Exposure switch” until finish.

*Please refer to the “Positioning Guide” “Positioning Movie” for patient positioning.

5.1 Zoom

Click and activate “Zoom” icon and you can see the mouse cursor has changed to Magnifier Shape.

Click on the left mouse button and drag it to right side for zooming in and left side for zooming out.

You can use “Panning” icon to move the image after zooming in.

Click and activate the “Panning” icon and click and hold the left mouse button and drag it.

If you want to initialize, click “Reset” icon.



5.2 Magnifier

Click Smart Tool area and select “View” tool. (Default setting is “View”)

Click and activate “Magnifier” icon, Magnifier square will be appear on the screen.

You can select magnification ratio by clicking the left corner of the Magnifier square.

Overlays are not supposed to be magnified.

Click inside of the Magnifier Square and drag it.


Select patient and double click thumbnail to load image onto “Viewer” Tab.

6. Brightness and Contrast

Click and move the “BRIGHTNESS” and “CONTRAST” Slider to adjust brightness and contrast.

You can use your mouse with right mouse button click on and drag your mouse to left and right for brightness or up and down for contrast.

Try to use “Sharpen”, ”Max Sharpen”, “Inverse” and Film Effect” by ticking the check box.

If you want to go back to initial condition, just click “Reset” button

Click Smart Tool area and select “Measurement” tool.

7. Measuring and Drawing

Angle icon is Active

Angle icon is Inactive

Bone Density : make two points to measure the Bone Density

Angle : Make two points to measure the angle

Multi Points Length : Make as may points as you want.

Free drawing

Length : Make two points to measure the length.

Active icon will be embossed


Click Smart Tool area and select “Annotation” tool.

8. Annotation

Click “Annotation” icon to activate it.

Click left mouse button on the image.

Click on “Property” Memo window will be popped up. Type in memo.

The memo will be appeared on image.

Press “ESC”. Reposition the memo.

Click “Small Region Screen Capture” icon to activate function.

The small region will be captured and saved automatically

Move onto image and click left mouse button to make Small Region Screen Capture.

Click “Full Screen” icon to capture full screen.


Click Smart Tool area and select “ETC” Tool.

10. Removing overlays

Remove all the overlays.


Click “Draw Canal” on “Simulation” Tool.

11. Drawing Mandibular Canal

Move cursor to Panoramic Image. And make multiple points to draw Canal. Double click to end it.

The points can be used for relocating the canal. Click and hold left mouse button on a point and drag it.


12. Implant Simulation

Click “Insert Implant” in “Simulation” Tool.

“IMPLANT MANAGER” window will be popped up.

Select Tooth, Implant Company, Line up and Fixture and Tick on “Crown Simulation” then click “OK”

Click and hold yellow rectangle and rotate it for angulation. Click and hold purple circle to move it.

Click and hold one of yellow rectangle and drag it to increase or decrease size of crown.

13. Exporting Image – CD Burning and File Save

Click right mouse button on the X-Ray image and select “Export”

Export window pops up.

Select export type “CD/DVD” for CD burning or ‘Local Disk” for saving image as a BMP file.

You can select “Add Simple Viewer” to burn the image with Simple EzDent-i.


14. Full Screen Mode

12.1 Entering Full Screen Mode

Click right mouse button on the X-Ray image and select “Toggle Presentation Mode”

Just press CTRL + Enter key to toggle between Full Screen Mode and Normal Mode



EzCodi is a Patient Education Module that provides approximately 190 treatment process animations.

These useful and effective tools will not only increase patient’s understanding but also increase case acceptance.

15.2 Selecting category

Select category from category list. You have

8 categories in your animation storage and

You can add your own multi-media files under

“User” category.

Once you finish to select your category,

thumbnails will be appeared in

“Consult Content Thumbnail” area.



15.3 Add your own category

1. Click “Edit”

2. Click and highlight “Consult Category”

3. Click “Add” and “ADD CATEGORY” window appears.

4. Type in your category name and click “OK”.

Your category will be appeared at the bottom of category list.

15.4 Add contents into your own category

1. Click “Add Content” and then “Open File Window” appears. Select your file and open it.

2. The content will be appeared in the preview window.

3. Drag the content into your category with left mouse button and drop it.

Your content will be appeared in “Consult Content Thumbnail” area.

Move to “Patient” Tab and click right mouse button on the image that you want to delete and select “Delete”

1. Delete Image

“Delete Image” window for user confirmation will be popped up. Type in password and click “OK” (Default password : 0000)


You can transfer image(s) from Patient A to Patient B.

Move to “Patient” Tab and click right mouse button on the image that you want to transfer and select “Transfer”

2. Transfer Image

“Transfer File” window will be popped up. Type in new chart number and password then click “OK” (Default password : 0000)


3. Change size of Magnifier

Click “EzDent-i” Logo on upper left side, you can call “EzDent-i Setting”
