Points to note about H1N1

• The virus can mutate and become deadlier.

• There are over 60,000 cases now worldwide.

• It has affected Singapore and the numbers are increasing (many cases from overseas travel).

Just back from an H1N1 affected country?

What should you do?


Firstly, it is important that you declare your travel history honestly.

Secondly, you should not go to school. Stay at home for 7 days.

During these 7 days, you should monitor your health regularly by

checking for any flu-like symptoms.

What are the symptoms of H1N1?


This is what you must do…

If you are ill: • Inform parents and seek medical help• Avoid self-medication• Stay at home and rest until you are well

Even if you are well, continue to monitor your

health.


Even if you have not travelled but have flu-like symptoms…

Go see a doctor and

stay at home

Keep away from others and keep up with good

hygiene habits


What does social distancing look like?

1. Keep a distance (1 metre) when talking with people, if possible.

2. Avoid physical contact.3. Avoid or cancel unnecessary

gatherings.4. Minimise sharing of personal items. 5. Minimise use of public facilities.
