General Statutory requirements

The Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85

of 1993) and the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996

(Act 29 of 1996) require that

should be aware of relevant legislation and standards

He shall be aware of any changes in responsibility for health and safety

should repair or reinstallation (or both) be carried out by a third party.

checks and tests

the name of the repairer or his registered trade mark

the repairer's reference number relating to the repairer

the date of the overhaul or repair.
