Year 3 have been learning about different types of rocks and soils. Each child made their very own 'rock pet' which will be their buddy throughout the topic to help them find out more about rocks and their uses. She is always doing the right thing and encouraging others. Star of the Week: Fergus always shows care and consideration when helping his friends. Year 4 are very excited to be wearing their new lab coats. Each pupil has a Daneshill Science Badge, which will be the first of many. The pupils earn a badge for each scientific skill they acquire during their science lessons from years 4 - 8. SCIENCE: YEAR 5 Year 5 have been experimenting with different materials to see which would make the best kite. Aluminium foil, a sheet of plastic, a paper bag and a cloth-sheet were put to the test. Here they are in action (and if you were wondering, it's a sheet of plastic!). SCIENCE: YEAR 4

Year 1 have had a great start to theMichaelmas Term and they have beengetting stuck into their new topic ofpirates and mermaids. They all madesome wonderful pirate masks andventured into the woods to set sail ontheir pirate ships. Watch out for themermaid tails which will be making anappearance next week!

BREAK TIMEBreak time is an opportunity for the children toget outside, have fun and be creative. This week,the Year 4s and 6s have been creating fairygardens. Whereas the Year 5s have beenleapfrogging their way around the grounds tokeep fit!
