CAT 6 CABLE

CAT 6 & CAT 5E PATCH CORDS

Cat 6 – Category 6 cable is a 4 pair Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) structure suitable for Local Area Network (LAN) for high-speed horizontal distribution network cabling.

CAT 6 is a cable standard for Gigabit Ethernet, supporting 10 Base T, 100 Base-TX and 1000 Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet) connections and other interconnects and is backward compatible with category 5 cable, Cat-5e and Cat-3.

Cat-6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. Plain annealed copper conductors, polyethylene insulated, twisted pair, flame retardant PVC overall sheathed.

Overall cable diameter (nominal): 6.2 mm.

Cat 6 and Cat 5e (rated for long distance 100 Base-T links) patch cords consist of four UTP copper wires terminated by RJ45 connectors. They are available in a wide range of colours.

Moulded standard CAT6 or CAT5E patch cords or customised Cat 6 patch cords can be selected. All customised leads are available in a crossover configuration.

Personalised labelling can be prominently displayed on each lead, to identify your company.
