MY DETAILS AND ANNUAL REVIEW
Patients can share the information from My COPD Plan,
which includes spirometry results, oxygen saturation
levels, MRC Score, CAT Score as well as current
medication and exacerbation history. This information
can be part of a patient’s annual review as well as a
patient held record. It can also be downloaded into a
patient’s record as a pdf document .

COPD ASSESSMENT TEST (CAT) SCORE
ALERTS
This questionnaire will help
patients and their
healthcare professional
measure the impact COPD
is having on their wellbeing
and daily life.
The CAT can be completed
before a meeting with
their doctor or nurse, to
have the scores ready to
discuss.
The CAT should be taken at
regular intervals - about
once every 3-6 months.
This way, the test will pro-
vide valuable insight into
how your health changes
over time.

Patients fill out their symptoms daily which
sends to a contact of their choice.
This sends the patient’s symptoms on that
day, as well as their CAT score and has an
option to send a short personalised message.

INHALER DIARY & VIDEOS
Inhaler technique and compliance with medications is an important part of self-management
and the stable management of COPD. The solution provides patients with videos on how to use
their inhalers and an inhaler diary to aid compliance.

BITESIZE PULMONARY REHABILITATION
Pulmonary rehabilitation is seen as one of the cornerstones of COPD management.
Many patients report improvements in endurance and symptoms following a course of
pulmonary rehabilitation.
These bitesize videos provide an insight into what pulmonary rehabilitation can offer
and encourage patients to seek referral to a course, or maintenance class. It also serves
as a reminder for those who have already completed a course and wish to continue
their exercises in the comfort of their own home.

BREATHLESSNESS AND ANXIETY
In our online videos, Dr
Laura Flower (Clinical
Psychologist) demon-
strates deep muscle
relaxation techniques to
help patients cope with
the anxieties associated
with having COPD.
Anxiety associated breathlessness is a major cause for admission to hospital in COPD patients.
Equipping patients with the necessary skills to deal with this may help to reduce the burden on
the NHS and enable patients to manage their anxiety.
OXYGEN ALERT CARD
Patients can print out
an Oxygen Alert Card
from the myCOPD
Solution or purchase
a plastic card
Some COPD patients can become sensitive to medium and high flows of oxygen. Therefore it
is important that if oxygen is needed, it is administered in a controlled way. The card alerts
medical teams and advises them on the correct flow rates to maintain a patient’s oxygen
saturations during times of emergency.
