RPSA Food Security ProgrammeSpecific Objectives
Overall goal: Resilience in food security of smallholder farmers in SADC region is increased Outcome 1: Strengthening seed systems Outcome 2: Post harvest losses are reduced and food security and incomes for target small holders
farmers’ households are increased through informed policy, capacity building and appropriate technology
Outcome 3: Member states use risk reduction instruments, insurance mechanisms and safety nets for
food security planning and interventions. Outcome 4: Governments, Parliaments and CSOs in SADC member states have increased capacities
and apply them for equitable, responsible and accountable allocation and use of public resources for agriculture and food security.
