Strengthen hands-on capability; Conducting actual testing activity; Verification and review of test results
and findings; Enhancing capacity and knowledge on
Type Approval procedure / UNR testing requirements.
Activities :
more than 15 series of meeting. cover more than 10 UNRs.
Period : 2015 – 2018
Objective :
Data collection and acquisition; Reviewing current approach and policy
decision; Discussion about establishment of policy
decision.
Activities :
Three times of workshop
Asia Expert Meeting
Period : 2012 – now
Objective :
Verification and review of test results and findings;
Enhancing capacity and knowledge on Type Approval procedure / UNR testing requirements.
Activities :
Meeting twice a years. Have cover more than 30 UNRs.

Malaysia – Japan Cooperation Framework on Vehicle Safety
Since June 2011, the Malaysia - Japan Automobile IndustriesCooperation (MAJAICO) program has been conducted to furtherassist and improve Malaysian Vehicle Type Approval System as one ofthe collaboration framework which has been agreed betweenMalaysia and Japan.
Based on Financial Year (FY) 2016 framework methodology, Japanhas agreed to dispatch the NTSEL experts to further strengthen thehands-on capability as well as to enhance the Vehicle Type ApprovalCertification in Malaysia.
Accordingly, the MAJAICO – A3 FY 2016 project will contributetowards the harmonization of the automotive technical regulationsand standards in the ASEAN region, and also aims to make up thejoint effort between Japan and ASEAN in the WP29 activities.
