It goes without saying that maintenance takes almost no time at all.

A high level of comfort,even for maintenance work.Servicing the ARES is not a difficult

task, it is extremely quick and sim-

ple. The side panels of the bonnet

open easily, the bonnet nose lifted

and the radiator folded away – all

without tools, naturally. The high

degree of comfort offered by the

ARES even translates to those

apparently “tiresome” tasks.

Simply a matter of minutes.The ARES is designed for long working

periods. Long service intervals

between oil and filter changes

contribute considerably to keeping

downtime due to maintenance to a

minimum. Good accessibility and

straightforward servicing, combined

with the unique CLAAS spare parts

service, all add up to the shortest of

downtimes and a high level of safety.

A breath of fresh air - the air filter.The air filter and safety

cartridge are easily

replaced. On the ARES

800, service intervals are

extremely long as the air

filter is cleaned by dust

suction through the

exhaust.

Keep your cool whencleaning the radiator.The radiator is easily

accessed and cleaned by

lifting the bonnet nose.

On the ARES 800, the

condenser for the air-

conditioning system and

the oil cooler are easily

removed for cleaning.

Refuelling madeeasy.The fuel tank on the ARES

is easily accessed and

filling up is as simple as

fuelling a car. With up to

300 l capacity plus 70 l,

thanks to an optional

auxiliary fuel tank, the

ARES is ideal for long jobs.

Oil checks without ahitch.The engine oil level on the ARES

can be checked in an instant, as

there is no need to remove the

side panels to reach the dipstick.

Topping up the oil level is just as

quick, as the measuring pipe is

also the top up pipe.

You’ll be happy to take alook.A quick look at the rear of the

ARES is sufficient to read the

transmission and hydraulic oil

levels. The min/max display

informs you immediately

whether you need to top up the

oil levels.

Shifting made easy.Comfort is also a major feature of

shifting on the ARES 800. All transmis-

sion shifting functions are performed

via a single lever: selection of the

synchronised gears, shifting under

load, declutching etc. The ARES is

easy to drive in all these situations.

The level of shifting comfort is

completed by the REVERSHIFT shuttle

reverser that you control with your

fingertips.

Touch-sensitive transmission.In this class, only the ARES can offer a

true shuttle reverser with two oil-

cooled multi-disc clutches that control

forward and reverse travel. With the

REVERSHIFT hydraulic reverser, you

can change the direction of travel with

a touch of your fingertips – at any

speed and in any gear.

Double the control.Additional operator controls on the

right B-pillar for all transmission

options control the transmission

without unnecessary effort, especially

convenient when working with

implements.

Information in the right place.The display on the right A-pillar pro-

vides you with continuous information

on the gear you have selected.

Full power or ECO.You are ploughing heavy land and

need maximum performance, or you

want to make a short road trip while

saving fuel? Then select the POWER or

ECO mode of QUADRACTIV by simply

pressing a switch. The splitter will

shift automatically into the best stage

for the job at hand.

Step up a gear.All gearboxes enable you to be fully in

control of your working speed, allo-

wing you to concentrate fully on your

implements. Regardless of load, type

of terrain or soil conditions, your work

will always be to the same standard,

ensuring high productivity. If you shift

a gear, on the road for example, then

QUADRISHIFT II will select the power-

shift stage that is closest to the actu-

al speed. QUADRACTIV automatically

switches the four stages of the pow-

ershift gearbox according to the

engine speed and the position of the

accelerator pedal. At the end of the

field the ARES 826, with its FULL

POWERSHIFT transmission, shifts

down to the gear stored by you at the

touch of a button, and then shifts

back up into the previously selected

gear.

Forward looking.The rear hydraulics can lift an

impressive 11.3 t and the ARES 800

also has an impressive front linkage.

The load-sensing hydraulic system

enables several hydraulic control

units to be used simultaneously. It is

possible to use heavy front-mounted

equipment combinations and large

high-output machines, bringing you

enormous savings in terms of costs

and work time.

Fast connection guaranteed.The hitch area of the ARES is well

designed and ergonomically optimised.

A wide choice of drawbar versions is

available for hitching equipment. The

breakaway connections of the easily

accessible control module block enable

rapid and straightforward hitching and

unhitching. By means of two buttons on

the wings, the mechanical linkage can

be safely operated from outside the cab.

Powerful even at the front.With a maximum lifting capacity of

5.3 tonnes on its front linkage, the

ARES can also lift heavy front loads.

The electro-hydraulically controlled

front power take-off shaft has smooth

operation, preventing wear and tear

on the implement mechanics.

Control in comfort.The ARES gives you a choice between

two electronic linkages – according to

your requirements in terms of comfort.

The vibration damping and an active

wheel slip control provide improved

safety for easy work and maximum

traction.

Superb implement control.The INFOTRAC on-board computer

sends data measured on the tractor to

the implement via a 7-pole ISO socket.

The field crop sprayer or the fertiliser

spreader computer then calculates,

for example, the optimum output

quantity in relation to the speed of the

tractor.

The generous steering angle of up to

55° endows the tractor with excellent

manoeuvrability. The turning circle of

4.90 m makes the ARES one of the

most agile tractors in its class. To

achieve an optimum turning circle, the

front wings turn to the side, thus facil-

itating full wheel deflection.

Well-organised control.With ELECTROPILOT, the load-sensing

system on ARES tractors now has

electro-hydraulic control. Control of

the system is via a joystick, which is

fitted at the front end of the right arm-

rest. Its well laid-out positioning pro-

vides you with a natural, comfortable

and fatigue-free driving position for

long working days. Ergonomics can

hardly be more impressive and, above

all, more comfortable!

Everything to hand.The joystick controls two electro-

hydraulic spool valves with high pre-

cision and sensitivity. As the ELEC-

TROPILOT is a progressive control

system, you can precisely control the

movement of the implements, for

example the raising and lowering of

a packer roller, by operation of the

joystick.

Suits you.The ELECTROPILOT operator panel is

integrated within the right cab pillar.

Two controllers allow you to precisely

measure the flow rate of both electro-

hydraulic spool valves. Or set one of

the spool valve blocks to continuous

feed and control the speed of the

hydraulic motor.
