Roller and Skate Wheel conveyors are designed for tray make-up. These conveyors will help for streamline tray assembly for healthcare or catering operations. Both units can be equipped with an electric raceway and breaker panels for on-line support equipment connections. Roller conveyors will handle compartment or flat bottom trays. Skate Wheel conveyors will handle flat bottom trays only.

CONSTRUCTION

Roller conveyors shall have a 1-7/8" O.D. gray P.V.C. tubing with stainless steel ball bearings. Rollers mounted on stainless steel hex springloaded shafts. The rollers are spaced on 3" or 4" centers.

Skate Wheel assemblies shall be 2" diameter nylon wheels with low friction bushing for free movement. Wheels are secured to frame with stainless steel bolts with with self-locking nuts. Wheels are spaced 3" to 4" centers and are removable for easy cleaning.

Conveyors are supported by a 1-5/8" O.D. 16 gauge stainless steel tubular legs. Stainless steel tubing fits into stainless steel sleeves welded to conveyor frame. Legs are secured to sleeves with allen head set screws. Conveyors come standard with adjustable stainless bullet feet.

The Cantilever conveyor can be positioned under support equipment with conveyor roller assembly over top of the support equipment. There are two different styles of cantilever conveyor. The roller has 1.7/8" PVC rollers making it ideal for compartmental trays as well as flat bottom trays. The skate wheel has 2" diameter nylon wheels and will handle flat bottom trays only. The cantilever conveyors can be a space saver in certain applications.

CONSTRUCTION

The cantilever conveyor has a standard conveyor pan. The roller style shall have 1-7/8" O.D. gray PVC tubing with stainless steel hex spring-loaded shafts. The skate wheel style shall have 2" diameter nylon wheels with low friction bushing for free movement. Wheels are secured to frame with stainless steel bolts with self locking nuts. Wheels are spaced on 3" to 4" centers and are removable for easy cleaning.

Cantilever conveyor uprights are 1-5/8" diameter 16-gauge stainless steel tube. Conveyors up to 6' have two uprights. Uprights have 1-1/4" 18-gauge stainless steel cross rails welded between for support and each upright has a 12-gauge stainless steel fully welded gusset for support.

Pan consists of a 14-gauge stainless gusset welded to a stainless tube that slides over uprights making an adjustable conveyor height.

CONSTRUCTION

Drive housing is 18-gauge stainless steel and fully welded stainless steel angle and channel framework. Drive is totally enclosed fan cooled DC permanent magnet motor connected to a worm gear speed reducer, sprockets and roller chain. Fully lagged power roller with snubbed drive assembly providing 270-degree belt contact for positive drive. Rollers are crowned to assure proper tracking. Motor is controlled with SCR power transmission group; SCR main control panel has speed control station with stop-start controls.

SCR systems include dynamic breaking. All controls are NEMA 4 watertight. Shafting is solid stainless steel. Bearings are self-aligning ball bearings sealed for life.

Belt is two ply construction with PVC facing for easy clean-ability and synthetic woven carcass on underside for friction free travel. Belt joint is machine set with stainless steel lacing and nylon lock rods.

Belt speed is electronically adjustable in speeds of 0-40 feet per minute. Conveyor slider pan is formed of stainless steel die embossed discs to provide "air glide" ride to prevent friction drag between belt and pan. Belt terminates at drive end to provide flat top space for one tray. Conveyor will stop as a tray reached checkpoint and will automatically restart when tray is removed.
