ABSTRACT
In the age of quotidian systems it is important to be able to
control robots everywhere.
Although dierent mode to remotely control robots have
been devised, the mode have the diculty such as the
need for unique devices or software to control the robots.
This paper suggests a methodology of robot control using
the DT! tone generated when the user press mobile
phone "eypad buttons when connected with a remote
mobile robot.

The robot control system through the mobile phone DT!tone in this paper is depicted in !igure The mobile phoneused in this system is a general phone that is registered on amobile communication networ" of a mobile networ"
provider.
The mobile robot in this system consists of a -DAeternal modem, DT! receiver, microprocessor/based robotcontrol, D- motors and the drivers. The -DA eternal
modem is the 0ell/wave 0)/123 and includes the4ualcomm ) 3525 chipset. The modem is also registeredin a mobile communication networ", so has a unique phonenumber.

ConclusionThis paper presented a method to control a robot using the T!"
tone generated when the user press the #eypad buttons of a mobile
phone connected to the remote mobile robot.
This control mode uses commercial mobile communication
networ#s as the way of data transmission. We can control the mobile
robot stably .
This system was implemented in the $% mobile communication
networ#& so video data cannot be obtained "uture wor# will research
the robot control system in the '% mobile communication networ#s.
This will eventually facilitate controlling the remote robot& using the
T!" of mobile phone with video data from the remote mobile
robots camera.
