Contrado To Stirling Transport Job Import
The transfer of the work from Contrado to the Stirling Transport system is a two part process.
Part One – You create the file in Contrado that contains the jobs that you want to bring into the Stirling Transport system
Part Two – You import the file into Stirling Traffic to create the jobs ready for planning
PART ONE
1. Start Contrado by double-clicking on the Contrado icon that should be on your desktop
Log into Contrado with the username & password that you have been provided with and then click on the ‘OK’ button. Contrado will then login as long as the details are correct.
Once you are logged in you should the screen below.

2. Select the data that you want to collect the jobs for by clicking on the dropdown to display the calendar and clicking on the relevant date.
3. From the ‘Download’ dropdown box select ‘Collections File Import From Contrado’ OR ‘ Deliveries File Import From Contrado’ depending if you require the collection or the deliveries being sent to your depot.
If you only want to download one consignment that you already know the consignment number of then type this into the ‘Consignment Number:’ box.
4. Create the file that will be imported into the ‘Transport’ system by doing the following:
- Click on the ‘ Export’ button in the bottom right corner and the ‘Save As’ dialogue bow will appear. You will then need to decide where you want to save the file on your computer. The easiest place is to select the ‘Desktop’ that can be seen on the left. (This needs to be in a location that you will need to find later when you have logged into the Transport program so you need to make a note of where this is or ask your manager where they want this to be

saved elsewhere.)
- Enter a file name for the export i.e. 271113del for the 27th deliveries and leave the ‘Save as Type’ as it is and click on the ‘Save’ button.
- The file will then be created and you will get confirmation as to how many consignments have been exported. In the sample below there are 78 consignments.
- Click on the ‘Close’ button to close the screen or you can select a different file to export ready for import into Stirling Transport, just make sure that you give it a different file name.

PART TWO
Open your copy of the Stirling Transport system by double clicking on the Transport icon
From the drop-down box select your user name, enter your password and make sure that your company name is in the bottom box
Once you have successfully logged in you will see the ‘Transport Daybook’ similar to the one below.
Select from the menu options at the top of the screen:FileImport JobsCustom
From the drop-down box select ‘P2 PALLETLINE FROM HUB’

In the section titled ‘From’ click on the small grey button to the right if the white box, it has 3 small dots on it.
You will now need to locate the file that you saved in part one above
Click on the ‘Open’ button to open the selected file.
Click on the ‘Import’ button to start the import process into Stirling Transport. This will start the import process and you will be able to see the import messages towards the bottom of the screen as it progresses and you may see the paper transferring from one folder to the other.
Once the import process has completed you will see the ‘Job Import’ screen. If there are any problems with the file it will default to the ‘Failures’ tab and in the section at the bottom of the screen it will advise you why the job has failed to import with details of where in the job the import failed.

To resolve these errors select the relevant tab at the top of the screen and then correct the error.
In the example below the message at the bottom of the screen says that on the Collection page there is an unknown Depot – 130 so this will need to be corrected prior to import.

Click on the drop-down box for ‘Depot’ and select the correct depot number for the postcode from your list of Palletline Depots

In this case depot 065 has been selected.
Click on the ‘Test’ button to test job again and if all the details are now correct the job will import and the number of ‘Failures’ will reduce by one. Repeat this process until there are no more ‘ Failures’

When all the error messages have been resolved and test then the system will automatically take you to the ‘Passes’ tab and display all the jobs ready for import.
Click on the ‘Import All’ button to import the jobs into Stirling Transport.
You will then get a message to confirm the final step of the import process.

Go back to your Transport screen and have a look at the day/s that you have imported the jobs for and they will be displayed as new jobs.
