In this workshop we take an in depth look at the practicaland employment law issues surrounding contracts ofemployment, including the controversial zero hourscontracts.
A written contract of employment enables you to clearly set out the relationshipbetween you and your employee and the way you have agreed to work together.Whilst employers are required by law, to give employees a written statement of theiremployment particulars, such a document rarely provides enough detail to help you,as an employer, protect your business and mitigate your risk in the event that adispute arises in future.The workshop will benefit business owners and HR professionals and will cover themost important aspects surrounding Contracts of Employment, including:
* What makes a legal contract* Express and implied terms* Varying contract terms – what you can and can't change* Changes in the context of TUPE* The importance of having written contracts of employment* Types of contracts (including the controversial Zero hours contracts)
