The band was formed in late 2006 when three friends of different ethnics united their interests in music.After months of deliberation the band finally decided on the name 'Contraband'. In the summer of 2007 contraband reached the final of Emergenza's unsigned Competition,a competition that attracted over 2000 unsigned acts. In April Contraband featured in Latina Boy Band and have since had national Radio luna air play in Italy. Popularity for the band's huge music is growing. Each and every performance brings new fans.2008 is going to be a massive year for Contraband.

The multiethnic Rock Band,(Contraband)Has just completed their hotly first release. The EP entitled 'San Lorenzo'.Was mixed and produced at a local studio by legendary producer Gianni mida,who has produced The Gazebo,Homosepiens('among others') Gianni who mixed the previous promotional demo,was simply 'amazed' that the Band had not yet signed up by a major lable and was keen to offer his services again. 'The Band has fantastic tunes and as soon as i heard a rough demo of their new material i had to do it'.
