MATERIALS:18-gauge stovepipe wire (approx. 8' per student), assorted colored scrap wire or string
OBJECTIVES: To improve observational drawing
skills. To learn and practice contour drawing. To create a portrait sculpture. To improve mastery in wire.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:Based on one of your contour portrait drawingsHead and features are 3-D – not flat! Approximately life size with correct placement and proportion of features
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:Must have a nose with nostrils, a mouth, 2 eyes, and ears or hair (may also have eye brows, moustache, etc.)Well-constructed (wire stays in place, not loose, no ends sticking out)

DUE DATES:• Minimum 12 contour line
drawings: Thursday 3/14• Worth 20 points• I will check these on Friday when I check
sketchbooks, but they should be done before you get wire!
