Dreaming — spending time staying open to inspirationand the possibilities

Visioning — Remembering that whatwe focus on we attract into our lives

Obstacles are really opportunities that shape our life and help usget clear about what is really important.

Feminine and Masculine are both important. Cultivating balance andbeing able to use both will open up new possible solutions.

Movement is KEY for creativity, good health and balance.

Acceptance. We have stopped fighting everyone andeverything.

Slowing UP. Doing less and taking more time

Alignment making love the bottom line will bring JOY.

Forgiving becomes our way of connecting to our sharedhumanity.

Authentic Life. Living life from ourheart that honors our individual journey

    and purpose.

There is more to life than increasing its speed. – Gandhi

     Authentic LivingSome suggestions:

    A. We listen to our heart.

    B. Pay attention to Vibration and Energy

    C. Connect to a Power Greater than ourselves

    A. We listen to our

“Without even realizing it, we pay more attention to our minds and thoughts in day-to-day

life than we do to our hearts and inner guidance. We’re often locked inside our heads,

having programmed ourselves to rein in our emotions and dismiss any inklings or intuition as

inappropriate, scary, or strange. More often than not, when faced with an important

decision, we weigh the pros and cons and decide that the rational choice is the best one.

But how often have you thought, after making a rational decision — whether or not it worked

out —if only I’d listened to my heart? Have you ever found at least one reason not to do

what your heart told you to do for fear of someone else’s reaction? Or come up with

excuses not to do what deep down in your heart you want to do most? When we ignore

the heart’s messages, we bury our dreams and extinguish our inner fire. “

“Both the heart and the head process information

that governs our bodily functions, determines our

attitudes and responses, and generally maintains

our connection to the world around us. But their

approach to that information and their interpreta-

tion of the facts is often quite different, one from the

    other.

The head — which, for our purposes, includes the

brain and mind — operates in a linear, logical man-

ner. Its primary functions are to analyze, memorize,

    compartmentalize, compare, and sort incoming

messages from our senses and past experiences

and transform that data into perceptions, thoughts,

and emotions. The head also regulates many of our bodily functions.

By accumulating and combining millions of partial truths and volumes of incomplete data, the head manages to put together somewhat cohesive patterns of reality. When we rec-

ognize patterns in our lives, we’re able to make certain presumptions about the world that

    save us time and energy.

But that pattern-making ability, essential though it is, has drawbacks. The head can easily

get locked into set patterns. Instead of seeing things from a fresh perspective, it can stub-

bornly presume that it “knows what it knows” about people, places, issues, and ourselves,

blocking us from seeing and accepting new possibilities. When stubborn mind-sets rule, all

new information we encounter must conform to the head’s existing paradigm to be per-

ceived as valid. At the survival level, maintain a sense of order and stability is essential. But

when we’re trying to find new solutions to problems, or trying to develop new attitudes, be-

haviors, or perspectives, it can be a liability. “ ~The HeartMath Solution

are” for living healthier, fulfilling lives and building a brighter future.

Since 1991, the HeartMath Institute has researched and developed relia-

ble, scientifically based tools to help people bridge the connection be-

tween their hearts and minds, and deepen their connection with the

    hearts of others.

“The heart shows us the inherent core values in our lives and brings us

closer to the sense of true security and belonging that we all crave.

Heart intelligence is often accompanied by a solid, secure, and

balanced feeling. Thus we can tell when we’re in contact wit the heart

by how it feels. The intelligence of the heart acts as an impetus for what

some scientist call qualia — our experience of the feelings and qualities of

love, compassion, nonjudgment, tolerance, patience, and forgiveness.

These qualities are often accompanied by a peaceful, clear state of

awareness. When we’re engage with our heats, the mind slows down

and our thoughts become more rational and focused. The deductive

process starts to coalesce into clarity and understanding. We feel more

in control, and we perceive life from a more hopeful, optimistic perspec-

tive. As people practice the tools and techniques that harness heart

intelligence, they begin to notice that they feel less caught up in their

problems and in the hectic pace of daily activity. Their perspective

encompasses a wider view.” ~The HeartMath Solution

Heart/Brain Communication (A nod to the science)

“In exploring the physiological mechanisms by which the heart com-

municates with the brain and body, Institute of HeartMath scientist asked

questions such as these:...How do emotional state affect the heart, the

autonomic nervous system, the brain, and the hormonal and immune

systems? And how does the heart’s information-processing system

influence the body’s other systems, including the brain?

What they found is that the heart communicates with the brain and the

rest of the body in three ways for which there's solid scientific evidence:

neurologically (through the transmission of nerve impulses),

biochemically (through hormones and neurotransmitters), and

biophysically (through pressure waves). In addition, growing scientificevidence suggests that the heart may communicate with the brain and

body in a fourth way: energetically (through electromagnetic field

interactions). Through these biological communication systems, the heart

has a significant influence on the function of our brains and

    all our bodily systems.”

     More Cool Heart Facts:

The hearts starts beating in an unborn fetus before the brain is formed.

Scientists still don’t know exactly what makes it start beating. The

heartbeat is generated from within the heart itself and doesn’t need a

connection to the brain to keep beating.

Core heart feeling reduce the activity of the sympathetic nervous

system (that branch of the system that speeds heart rate, constricts

blood vessels, and stimulates the release of stress hormones in

preparation for action) and increase the activity of the

parasympathetic nervous system (that branch of the system that slows

heart rate and relaxes the body’s inner systems), thereby increasing

    its effectiveness.

Positive emotions such as happiness, appreciation, compassion, care,

and love improve hormonal balance and immune system response

From research at the Institute of HeartMath, we’ve concluded that

both intelligence and intuition are heightened when we learn to listenmore deeply to our own hearts.

    Cut-Thru Steps

    1. Be Aware of how you Feel about the issue at hand.

     2. Focus in the Heart and Solar Plexus (green and yellow in the image) —

Breathe love and appreciation through this area for 10 seconds of

more to help anchor your attention there.

    3. Assume Objectivity about the feeling or issue — as if it were someone

    else’s problem.

     4. Rest in Neutral —  in your Rational, Mature Heart

     5. Soak and Relax any disturbed or perplexing feelings in the compassion

of the heart — Dissolving the Significance a little at a time. (take yourtime) Remember it’s not the problem that causes energy drain as

much as the significance you assign to the problem.

    6. After Extracting as much Significance as you can, from your Deep

Heart sincerely Ask for appropriate guidance or insight. If you don’t

get an answer: Find something to Appreciate for awhile. Appreciation

of anything often facilitates intuitive clarity on issues you are working

    on. ~The HeartMath Solution

    B. Pay attention to Vibration and Energy

sk yourself… does this raise my vibration or

    lower my vibration?

Is this my truth or am I just following my tribe?

  • 8/19/2019 Continuing the JOY With Authentic Living

    17/20

    7. What am I doing on a regular basis that

    lowers my vibration?

    8. Is there another way to do it? Release it?

OR fill it with more love?

Our emotions actually function like a guidance system to let us

know when we are resonating with our core essence and love.

And so honestly by simply paying attention to how you feel you

can know whether or not you’re doing what is honestly right for

you what works for you.—Dean Shrock
