OVERVIEWThe latest developments in the care of ophthalmology patients will be reviewed. Learn more about how novel methodologies are improving patient safety and outcomes. This case-based symposium will have a particular focus on the advanced retinal subspecialty.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES• Describe the pathogenesis and management of diabetic retinopathy

and macular degeneration

• Assess what drug to favor and timing of use in conjunction with older technology

• Review drugs and surgical techniques on the horizon
