2004 Omahawks Annual Pattern Contest Participants.

Omahawks, R/C Inc. welcomes you to enjoy Hawk Field and is proud to sponsor this year’s Omaha Annual Pattern Championship. The Omahawks membership of over 220 strong take pride in our field and hope you will be able to join in this event.

Hawk Field is beautifully located in Omaha’s Standing Bear Lake park. Our field sits above the rest of the park, providing a great view and enjoyable environment.

Hawk Field has a large 500’ x 40’ paved runway surrounded by lots of pit area in both grass and on pavement – and parking is abundant and close! Plenty of room to set-up the tents and a great pavilion for food and shade.

Walking trails travel completely around the lake so family will have plenty of area to roam about. This is a large, popular park and spectators are always in the bleachers to watch.

To learn more about the Omahawks and our field, please take time to visit us on the web at www.Omahawks.org. Additional information about the Pattern Contest can be gained by clicking on the Events tab on the menu bar, then clicking on the event or date.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED August 13 – 14, 2005

Want to help?Have some extra time?Enjoy spending time at the flying field?

Volunteers are needed to help make this years pattern championship a success. With contestants coming from many surrounding cities and states, this event will require some extra hands to help with all the details.

As everyone knows, running a good event starts with good help. No amount of time donated is too small. We are looking for people to assist with many of the following tasks:

• Morning registration of contestants on Saturday morning• Grill cooks for hot dogs and serving up cold beverages (Saturday and Sunday)• Judges (individuals with prior judging experience in contests or who feel

comfortable judging pattern) (Saturday and Sunday)• Judges Assistants to work with a judge and write down contestant scores when

the judge tells you. (Saturday and Sunday)• Score card runners to help get judging cards from judges and take to the scoring

table for computer input. (Saturday and Sunday)• Computer scoring assistance. To enter judging scores into a computer program

during each day. (Saturday and Sunday)• General helpers are needed as well.

Your help would be greatly appreciated! Any amount of time you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Even if you are not an Omahawks member, but just enjoy the hobby, you are encouraged to volunteer.
