Contents Page Production Work
Above is the blank page that I am going to create my contents page on.
First, I wanted to add the word ‘contents’ on to the page as it is a code and convention of magazine front covers. To do this I used the tool highlighted in the red circle. I used red and black as these were two colours my target
audience identified as their favourite.
I then added the contents for the magazine by importing it from word. To do this I had to create a text box, right click in it and select ‘import text’
Once the text was on the page I changed the format so that it matched my publication plan.
Next, I added the publication date and issue number to the page, followed by the photos. To add my photographs I used the tool highlighted on the above print screen. Then I drew a picture box in the place I wanted the
image.
To add the photo, I first right clicked in the box then scrolled to ‘import picture’. Once I had imported my image I scaled it to fit the box. I repeated
this step for all of my other photos.
After this, I added the page numbers so that the reader knew where each of the features from my contents where. Once I had done this my
magazine contents page was complete.
