The Admisssion Process and procedure for submitting Online Application for Diploma Admission for

2020-21 through Online Non-Interactive Counselling (Option Entry System)

1. Candidates can download “Admission Brochure” , “Sample Option Entry Work sheet” & “Seat Matrix” from departments website www.dtek.karnataka.gov.in, dtetech.karnataka.gov.in/kartechnical

Admission Portal and KEA website cetonline.karnatak.gov.in/kea/ 2. Candidates have to keep ready all relevant documents & prepare Option entry work sheet for Course &

College of their choice, in the order of priority before doing online application and Option Entry. 3. Candidates have to visit Admission Portal either on their own or with the help of “Option Entry Help

Centres”, Register online and creat ‘user ID and password’. Either SAT ID or SSLC Register No. can be the user ID.

4. For submission of application online and Option Entry, the candidates either on their own or with the

help of “Option Entry Help Centres” login using their login credentials by following all instructions as per “User Manual”, submit application online and Enter options in order of priority as per their choice

for seat allotment 5. Candidates have to upload the scanned copies following documents and relevant document according to

their reservation claims of size 1 mb, before the last date as per schedule.

• SSLC Marks Card/ Marks statement attested by Head master/Internet copy

• Candidates claiming reservation under different categories can upload Caste & income certificate if

readily available or mention R.D. No. if applied for Income & caste Certificate to Nadakacheri.

Pl. Note: In case of SC/ST candidate, Life Time Caste Certificate can be uploaded .For income

certificate upload latest copy issued from Nadakacheri or mention R.D. No. if applied for Caste &

Income Certificate to Nadakacheri.

• Candidates claiming Rural & Kannada medium quota have to upload the relevant document - Rural

/ kannada medium study certificate.

• Candidate claiming seats under special quota( N.C.C, Scouts & guides, Differently Abled(PH), Sports

etc) shall upload the relevant certificates issued from competent authority.

• Candidates claiming Hyderabad-karnataka local candidates quota can either upload the relevant

certificate if available or mention R.D. No. if applied for certificate from Nadakacheri. 6. Candiadtes have to ensure that all the details entered online are Correct and press “ “Final submission”

button”

Candidates Pl Note:

i. Since the data eneterd online, is used ‘as it is’ throughout the entire admission Process, the

candidates have to enter all data carefully. ii. To avoid last minute rush, candidates are advised to comlete online submission well within the last

date.The dept. is not responsible for net work & other issues. 7. Candidates who have not entered Options in the order of priority for seat allotment will not be

considered for seat allotment. 8. It is the responsibility of candidates to visit above wesites frequently for more and updated

informations on admissions from time to time.

9. The time table announced for 2020-21 academic year for First year diploma admission is only

Tentative, Revised Time Table wil be announced in the days to come.

10. Draft Merit List will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent sms in this

regard as per schedule.

11. Candidates have to carefully verify draft merit list, in case of any discrepancy, submit objections within

the stipulated time either on their own or with the help of “Option Entry Help Centres” and also

alter/add Option Entries once again.

12. Final Merit List will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent sms in this

regard as per schedule. 13. Mock ‘online seat allotment’ will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent

sms in this regard as per schedule.The candidates either on their own with the help of “Option Entry

Help Centres” can alter/add Option Entries once again.

14. First Round Online ‘Final Seat Allotment’ will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates

will be sent sms in this regard as per schedule.

15. Upon allotment of seats in first round Candidates who have exercised Choices as “Choice-1”, He/she has

to proceed to the Polytechnic in which seat is allotted with all the original documents, pay the

prescribed admission fee along with Application/Registration fee, down load Admission Order and report.

16. Upon allotment of seats Candidates who have exercised Choices as “Choice-2” are “Eligible to

participate in the subsequent round keeping the seat allotted on hold”, The candidates can alter the

priority of higher options and also add new options. If any seat as per new options is not allotted then

earlier allotted seat shall remain in candidates favour.

17. Upon allotment of seats Candidates who have exercised Choices as “Choice-3 are” Eligible to participate

in the subsequent round by rejecting the allotted seat”.The candidates can give fresh options in second

round for a better seat.

Note: Candidates who have exercised Choice-2 & Choice-3, can do fresh Option entry either on their own or with help of Option entry Help Centers as per schedule announced.

18. The candidate who has given Choice-1, fails to pay the prescribed fee within the given time and report to the college, his/her allotted seat will be cancelled automatically by the software.

Note: For those candidates, who have not given any Choice, the software will treat their choice as ‘Choice-3” automatically.Such candidates can also participate in second round seat allotment by giving

fresh options.

1) The candidates who have exercised “Choice-2 “& “choice-3’ and also those who have not exercised any

‘Choice”, can give fresh options either on their own or with help the of faculty of near by ‘Help

Centres”as under

a) Candidates can login to the portal using login credentials on their own or with the help of the of

faculty of near by ‘Help Centres” and view the Options given in first round.These options are valid for second round also.The candidates can alter the priority of these options and also add

new options. b) The candidates who participate in second round, want a better seat than the one allotted in first

round.For candidates who have given ‘Choice-2”, if any seat is not allotted for the fresh options given for this round, the seat allotted in First round will be in his hand.

c) The software selects the order of priority one by one for allotment of seat evrytime.Hence there is posssibilty of getting better seat .It implies that the software searches for options right from 1.

d) Since the seats are allotted as per merit and as per order of priority of Optins given by the

candidate,the candidate should not show negligence nor reject seat allotted. e) The candidates can give Options for seats , which are not mentioned in seat matrix, because the

Consequential vacancy seats will also be allotted. Note: The candidates will have no claim for seats which fall vacant after his /her turn of merit.

2)The seats in second round will be allotted from among the seats remain vacant after first round allotment,cancelled seats and seats arising out of “Choice-3’ given by candidates as per merit & roster .

After verification of seat allotment on admission portal the candidate has to take decision as under Exercise Choice-1 only on admission portal provided he/she is satisfied with the alloted seat.

19. Upon allotment of seats in second round Candidates who have exercised Choices as “Choice-1”, He/she

has to proceed to the Polytechnic in which seat is allotted with all the original documents, pay the

prescribed admission fee along with Application/Registration fee, down load Admission Order and

report.

Government of Karnataka

DEPARTMENT OF COLLEGIATE & TECHNICAL EDUCATION

(Diploma Admission for 2020-21 through Online Non-Interactive Counselling (Option Entry System))

1. The Department of Technical Education invites application from eligible candidates of Karnataka for

admission to the 1st Year Diploma Courses for Government, Aided Polytechnics and Private Polytechnics

(surrendred seats only).

2. Eligibility:

(a) The candidate must be a citizen of India,

(b) The candidate must have completed 05 years of academic study in Karnataka including qualifying examination.

(c) Educational Qualification For Engineering Diploma Courses

Should have passed Karnataka S.S.L.C or equivalent examination by securing 35% marks in aggregate;

(d) Educational Qualification For Non-Engineering Diploma Courses

1)

• Commercial Practice (English & Kannada)

• Apparel Design & Fabrication Technology

• Modern office Management

Should have passed Karnataka S.S.L.C or

Equivalent Examination by securing 35% marks in

aggregate. 2)

• Library Science and Information

Management

(e) Candidates who have studied CBSE/ICSE and other states 10th Standard shal pay Rs. 1000/- towards issue of

“Eligibility Certificates” at the time of admission, to the head of account of Board of Technical Examinations

through khajane-2 or pay in cash at nearest Govt/Aided. Polytechnic and obtained the receipt. After

completion of admission process, the institutions shall obtaine Eligibility Certificate from Secretary, Board of

Technical Examinations at the time of admission approval and submit the same for admission approval. The

procedure for eligibility certificate for the year 2020-21 is announced on website of the department.

Note: Age criteria for Automobile Course.

As per CORRIGENDUM issued by higher education letter no ED 38 TPE 2019, Dated: 19/06/2020. “In the case of

candidates applying for Diploma in Automobile Engineering the candidates should have attained the age of 15

years and 06 months as on 1st july of the year of admission”

3. The Five year study rule above is relaxed to the extent indicated below from a to g.

For the children of:

a)

Defence Personnel, Central Government Employees and Employees of Central or State Government

Undertakings or Joint Sector Undertakings working at present continuously for a period of atleast 12

months in Karnataka as on 1st July of the year of Admission to the full extent (see Annexure- XI(d) ).

b)

Serving or Retired Employees of (i) All India Service of Karnataka Cadre (ii) State Government who had

served; are serving in the State of Karnataka, during the period the applicants have been studying

outside the State from 1st standard to the Qualifying Examination to the extent of such service outside

Karnataka till 01-07-2019.

c)

Serving Defence Personnel / Ex-Servicemen (with minimum 5 years of active service) whose home

address at the time of joining to Defence service was in Karnataka, proof of such domicile having been

produced either by obtaining the extract from the record office of the Defence units or Certificate from

the Secretary Rajya/Zilla Sainik Board. (See Annexure- XI (e) ).

d) Members of Parliament, elected from Karnataka to the extent to the period of being an M.P. falling during

the period of applicant’s study in Delhi from 1st Standard to the Qualifying Examination.

e)

Central Government employees working/worked outside the KarnatakaState where such employees

had;

i) Declared to the Central Government any place in Karnataka as their home town and ;

ii) Studied in an Eeducational Institution in Karnataka run or recognised by the State Government for

not less than five years at any time between the 1st Standard and SSLC or Equivalent Examination.

f)

Any employee (other than Central Government) transferable anywhere in India but at present

working/residing continuously for a period of atleast 12 months in Karnataka as on 1st July of the year of

admission i.e., 01-07-2019 and

i) The candidate has passed the qualifying examination from any recognised Educational Institution in

Karnataka.

ii) Either parent of the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 10 years in any recognised

Educational Institution in Karnataka to the full extent. g) Government of India nominees repatriates and students sponsored from other State Governments.

4. Explanation on Special Cetegory under 5(2) rule:

a)

Horanadu Kannadiga(HK): Means, the candidate and either of his/her parent’s mother tongue should be

Kannada, Tulu (Kodava) and either parent’s was domiciled in the state of Karnataka, such candidate,

should have passed his qualifying examination from an University or Board or any other Institution located

outside the state of Karnataka as on 1st July of 2018. Provided that the candidate should be able to read &

write kannada at the time of interview.

b)

Gadinadu Kannadiga(GK): Means, Children of parents whose mother tongue is Kannada and who are at

present residing in the border disputed Kannada speaking areas viz., Taluks of South Sholapur, Akkalkot,

Jath, Gandhingla of Maharastra State, kasargod Taluk of Kerala state for period of 05 years as on 1st July of

the year of admission. The candidate should have passed the SSLC/PUC or equivalent qualifying

examination from the institute located in the border disputed areas as mentioned above. This exemption

applies only to the extent of such seats reserved for this category Provided that the candidate should be

able to read & write Kannada at the time of interview.

As per Govt. Order No. PÀ̧ ÀAªÁ¥Àæ 73 PÉNJ¯ï 2011 (¨sÁ-1), ¢:13-07-2011 issued by Kannada culture and information

department, Govt. of Karnataka, the candidates who have studied in Kannada Medium from 1st Standard to 10th

Standard in any state of India can claim admissions under Gadinadu Kannadiga / Horanadu Kannadiga reservation

quota. Such candidates are eligible only for those seats reserved by Govt. under GK / HK quota in Govt. and Aided

Polytechnics of Karnataka.

Note:

1. Residential certificate to this effect in case of Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadigas should be obtained in the

prescribed proforma duly signed by the concerned MP / MLA / Revenue authority where the candidate is

residing and in case of Government servants – the Head of the department with seal where the candidate is

residing & studied (See Annexure –XII).

2. Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates should produce relevant documents compulsorily when they

appear for document verification as per Annexure-XV.

3. The candidates seeking reservation under HK & GK are eligible for seat allotment for the reseved seats

under these categories as per Annexure-V. HK & GK candidates are not eligible for seat allotment under any

other categories.

c)

J.T.S/ITI :

Candidates who have passed SSLC or Equivalent Examination with 35% of marks in aggregate and should

have passed JTS (3 years course) / ITI (2 Years Course) 4ecognized by Govt. of Karnataka are only eligible

for seats reserved under JTS / ITI quota. The merit will be determined based on Total Marks obtained in

final year of ITI in respective trades for respective branches. Admission will be considered only for the

candidates coming under JTS quota and ITI quota for Diploma First semester courses

d)

JOC:

Candidates who have passed SSLC or Equivalent Examination with 35% of marks in aggregate and passed

Job Oriented Course (2 years after 10th Std.) recognised by Govt. of Karnataka are only eligible for seats

reserved under JOC quota. The merit will be determined based on marks secured in SSLC and marks

obtained in respective Technical / Elective subjects studied in JOC by giving equal weightage.

e) Scouts/Guides:

Candidates with Rastrapathi Puraskar Award / Rajya Puraskar award are eligible.

f)

Sports / Games: -

Candidates with outstanding skill in the Sports / Games by representing at the National level or State level

or District level are only eligible.

g)

NCC:

The candidates who possess ‘A’ certificate obtained during 3 years period between 8thand 10thstandard,

are only eligible (See Annexure– XI(c) & Annexure-XVI)

Note: Candidates who have been awarded Rashtrapathi purskar and other certificates in NCC,

Sports Games will also be considered as per the rules. The merit will be determined based on marks

secured in SSLC or Equivalent and weightage of marks secured in Scouts and Guides, Sports / Games

and NCC respectively.

h)

Physically Disabled/Differently Abled: PH Quota

Those who have a minimum physical disability of not less than 40% or visual ability not exceeding 6/60 or

20/2000 snellen or hearing loss of more than 70 decibels are eligible. Candidates seeking reservation

under physically disabled quota shall produce the certificate issued from medical board of Orthopaedics,

Opthalmology and ENT along with BERA certificate.

i)

Anglo Indian(AI): -

Two seats are reserved for Anglo Indian candidates of Karnataka in S.J.(Govt.) Polytechnic, BENGALURU.

The candidates claiming seats under AI quota should obtain the certificate stating that they belong to

Anglo-Indian community from the honorable Member of Legislative Council representing Anglo-Indian

community.

j)

Political Sufferer(PS):

Son or daughter of Freedom fighters (PS) those who have participated in freedom struggle before

Independence as specified in Go. No. ED 73 TEC 85 Dt. 27-11-85 as amended from time to time. The

candidates claiming seats under PS quota should obtain the certificate stating that they are the Son or

daughter of Freedom fighters (PS) from the competent authority.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES SEEKING ADMISSION UNDER 5(2) RULE FOR SPECIAL CATEGORY SEATS:

1. The candidates seeking admission under 5(2) rule for special category seats are instructed to verify

availability of seats under the concerned special category vide Annexure-V before submitting application at

the near by Document Verification Center.

2. The candidates claiming seats under the following special category should produced the concerned special

category certificates issued by the competatent authority at the time of document verification and online

submission of application.

a. Sports Certificates and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

b. NCC (Junior Wing) Certificates and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

c. Scouts Certificates and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

d. JTS final exam marks card and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

e. ITI final exam marks card and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

f. JOC final exam marks card and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

g. HK and GK Certificates and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

h. Defence and Ex-Defence Certificates and S.S.L.C / Equivalent Marks Card.

i. Differently abled certificates (Certificate issued by orthopaedician, optholmologist and ENT

specialist along with BERA certificate (in case of deaf).

5. SPECIAL RESERVATIONS.

i)

GIRL STUDENTS:

Thirty percent (30%) of seats are reserved for Girl Students in all Government / Aided Polytechnics (Co-

Education) in respective categories. The tuition fee is exempted for candidates in Govt. Women’s

Polytechnic, Bengaluru, Govt. Women’s Polytechnic, Mangaluru and Govt. Women’s Polytechnic, Hubli.

ii)

KANNADA MEDIUM STUDENTS:

Five percent (5%) of seats have been reserved in Government and Aided Polytechnics in the state in favour

of candidates who have studied for 10 full academic years in Kannada medium from 1st standard to 10th

standard in any recognised Institution located in Karnataka vide G.O. No. ED 91 URC 2002, date:

31/07/2002. (See ANNEXURE-XI(b) )

iii)

Rural:

Means a candidate should have studied in places other than the following areas: Larger urban area, Smaller

urban area or Transitional area for a period of ten academic years between 1st standard to the qualifying

examination as per the Karnataka Municipalities Act 1964 of Municipalities Corporations Act 1976 in

accordance with the Government order ED 01 TEC 2002, BENGALURU, Dated:01-02-2002 and eligibility

criteria shall be as defined in the Karnataka reservation of appointment of posts in the civil services of the

State of Rural Candidates Act 2000 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2001). Candidate’s whose parents do not come

under the creamy layer and candidates who have studied TEN full academic years from 1st Standard in

places other than the places mentioned in ANNEXURE X-A will be eligible for claming the benefit of Rural

reservations. However, if the candidates have studied in these places from 1st to 10th standard before the

date of notification as urban area, such candidates are also eligible to claim rural reservation benefit. (See

ANNEXURE-X).

Twenty five percent (25%) of seats are reserved for the students who have studied for 10 full academic

years in rural areas.

Automobile: As per G.O.No. Ed 38 TPE 2019. Dated: 19-06-2019, the candidate who have completed

15 years & 6 months age as on 1st July of the year of admission are eligible for Automobile course.

iv)

Differently Abled Students:

a. Five percent (5%) of seats are reserved in all Government /Aided Polytechnics in respective courses.

(See ANNEXURE-VIII)

b. Total 25 seats are reserved over and above the intake in Govt. Polytechnic Belagavi, Govt. Women’s

Polytechnic Mangaluru and Govt. Smt.L.V Polytechnic Hassan for differently abled candidates as per the

scheme of Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. Of India, New Delhi. These seats will be

distributed equally among courses sanctioned in the above institutions. Hence, eligible candidates may

submit application directly to the principal of the respective polytechnic.

v)

Kalyana-karnataka Local candidates: As per the constitution amendement to the article 371(j), for local candidates belonging to HK region, 70% of

seats in the institutions of HK Region and 8% of seats in the institution of rest of Karnataka region are reserved.

The candidates belonging to Hyderbad-Karnataka region as per 371(J) shall obtain the relevant certificates as

per Annexure-XV & produce for verification at the time of document verification & online application

submission.

vi)

10% of seats are reserved at Govt. V.I.S.S.J Polytechnic, Bhadravathi to the children of employees of VISL

Factory Bhadravathi. Hence, eligible candidates may submit application directly to the principal of the

polytechnic.

vii)

Supernumerary Quota:-

The AICTE has introduced the Supernumerary Quota in all Govt./Aided/Private Polytechnics. Five

percent (5%) of the seats in each Polytechnic and in each course will be reserved as Supernumerary

Quota. This Quota is over and above the intake sanctioned by the Government. For example, there are 60

seats in Mechanical in a particular Polytechnic, the Supernumerary Quota for Mechanical in that

particular Polytechnic will be 3 seats. Therefore, the total intake in that Polytechnic for Mechanical will

be 63. The tuition fees prescribed by the Government in that particular Polytechnic will be waived off.

But, the candidate has to pay other fees (Development+Misc). However, the candidate’s who obtain

Admission Order under Super Numerary Quota are not eligible for change of course and Polytechnic any

time during the period of study. The Income limit for claiming seat under SNQ quota for the current

academic year will be as per G.O. No.Ed 72 TEC 2013, Dt: 23-05-2014 which is notified on the official

website https://dtek.karnataka.gov.in & www.cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ of DTE after

obtaining directions from the Government.The seat allotment stages under this quota will be as under.

First Stage

Merit list under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (SNQ) will be prepared separately,

seat allotment for candidates whose parental income is less than ` 2.5 Lakh will

be done in the first round.

Second Stage

After Seat allotment in fisrt stage completed, the remaining seats allotment will be

done for the candidates whose parental income less than ` 3.5 Lakh in the

second round.

Third Stage

After Seat allotment in second stage completed, the remaining seats allotment will

be done for the candidates whose parental income less than ` 4.5 Lakh in the

second round.

Fourth Stage

After Seat allotment in third stage completed, the remaining seats allotment will

be done for the candidates whose parental income less than ` 6.0 Lakh in the

second round.

Fifth Stage

After Seat allotment in third stage completed, the remaining seats allotment will

be done for the candidates whose parental income less than ` 8.0 Lakh in the

second round.

6. Stages of Seat Selection

1. Candidates can download “Admission Brochure” , “Sample Option Entry Work sheet” & “Seat Matrix” from

7. Candidates who have not entered Options in the order of priority for seat allotment will not be considered for

seat allotment.

10. Draft Merit List will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent sms in this regard as per

11. Candidates have to carefully verify draft merit list, in case of any discrepancy, submit objections within the

stipulated time either on their own or with the help of “Option Entry Help Centres” and also alter/add Option

Entries once again.

12. Final Merit List will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent sms in this regard as per

schedule .

13. Mock Online seat allotment will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent sms in this

regard as per schedule.The candidates either on their own with the help of “Option Entry Help Centres” can

alter/add Option Entries once again.

14. First Round Online seat allotment will be announced in Admisssion Portal and also candidates will be sent sms in

this regard as per schedule.

15. Upon allotment of seats Candidates have to exercise Choices as “Choice-1”, Choice-2” & Choice-3 depending upon

their decision after seat allotment.

� Choice 1: I am Satisfied with the allotted seat and am willing to report to the allotted Polytehnic, therefore I

should not be considered for further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any Polytechhnic / discipline.

The candidate has to proceed to the Polytechnic in which seat is allotted with all the original documents, pay the

prescribed admission fee along with application fee, down load Admission Order and report .

Further any candidate who has given choice-1, but not paid the fees and obtained the Admission Order and fails

to report to the Polytechnic on or before the last date and time specified by the dept. in the Admission Order, for

such candidates no extension of time will be given and the allotment made in his / her favor shall be treated as

Cancelled and he / she has no claim further on such allotment. Such seats shall revert back to the pool

� Choice2: I am Satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round. The candidates can alter

the priority of higher options and also add new options. If any seat as per new options is not allotted then earlier

allotted seat shall remain in candidates favour.

Implication: Eligible to participate in the subsequent round keeping the seat allotted on hold. However, if a

seat among the new options gets allotted the candidate loses his old seat. There is no choice between the

earlier allotted and newly allotted seats.

� Choice3: I am not satisfied with allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round with new option entry by

surrendering the allotted seat

Implication: Eligible to participate in the subsequent round by rejecting the allotted seat.

16. Candidates who have exercised Choice-2 & Choice-3, can do fresh Option entry either on their own or with help of

Option entry Help Centers as per schedule announced.

17. Second round seat allotment will be announced on the Admisssion Portal and also sms will be sent to candidates

registered mobile number.

� Upon allotment of seat in second round, the candidate has to exercise Choice-1 only on the Admission Portal and

the candidate has to proceed to the Polytechnic in which seat is allotted with all the original documents, pay the

prescribed admission fee along with application fee, down load Admission Order and report within the stipulated

time.

Note :Post second round seat allotment, if candidate doesn’t proceed to the Polytechnic in which seat is allotted with all

the original documents, pay the prescribed admission fee along with application fee, down load Admission Order

and report within the stipulated time, the allotted seat gets cancelled.

The seats that remain un alloted and fall vacant after completion of second round, such seats will be filled at

Principal’s level by Offline allotment based on merit and roster. Separate notification will be announced at a later

stage after completion of second round.

7. FEE STRUCTURE:

(Development Fee) and Rs.830 (Misc Fee) – Total Rs.1,330/- before the last date of admission in seat allotted

Polytechnic and get admission.

� Admission to Govt. Polytechnics:

(i) The candidates belonging to Cat-1 whose parental annual income from all sources is below Rs.2.50 lakhs are

eligible for exemption of tuition fee, such candidates have to pay fee Rs. 1,330/- (Devp. Fee Rs.500/- and

Misc. Fee Rs.830/-) by producing original income & caste certificate at the time of admission in the allotted

Govt. Polytechnic and for those cat-1 candidates parental annual income from all sources is above Rs.2.50

lakhs have to pay full fee Rs.4130/- and claim for reimbursement of tuition fee later from the concernend

department.

(ii) The candidates belonging to Cat-2A, 2B, 3A, 3B whose parental annual income from all sources is below Rs.

1.00 lakhs are eligible for exemption of tuition fee, such candidates have to pay fee Rs. 1,330/- (Devp. Fee

Rs.500/- and Misc. Fee Rs.830/-) by producing original income & caste certificate at the time of admission in

the allotted Govt. Polytechnic.

� Admission to Aided Courses in Aided Polytechnics:

(i) The candidates belonging to Cat-1 whose parental annual income from all sources is below Rs.2.50 lakhs are

eligible for exemption of tuition fee, such candidates have to pay fee Rs. 1,330/- (Devp. Fee Rs.500/- and

Misc. Fee Rs.830/-) by producing Admission Order, original income & caste certificate at the time of

admission in the near by Govt. Polytechnic and report to the seat allotted Aided Polytechnic with all original

documents and fee receipt. For those cat-1 candidates parental annual income from all sources is above

Rs.2.50 lakhs have to pay full fee Rs.6,680/- and claim for reimbursement of tuition fee later from the

concernend department.

(ii) The candidates belonging to Cat-2A, 2B, 3A, 3B whose parental annual income from all sources is below Rs.

1.00 lakhs are eligible for exemption of tuition fee, such candidates have to pay fee Rs. 1,330/- (Devp. Fee

Rs.500/- and Misc. Fee Rs.830/-) by producing Admission Order, original income & caste certificate at the

time of admission in the near by Govt. Polytechnic and report to the seat allotted Aided Polytechnic with all

original documents and fee receipt.

� Admission to Un-Aided Courses in Aided/Private Polytechnics:

(i) The admission to surrendered seats in un-aided courses of aided Polytechnics and in private Polytechnics

will be filled through Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) by KEA as per management’s request. Such of the

candidates irrespective the categories to whic they belong have to pay Rs. 12,830/- as fee at the time of

admission in the allotted Polytechnic.

Special Note: The candidates belonging to the reserved categories mentioned in the above table are

exempted from payment of tuition and other fees.

i. Candidate belonging to SC/ST: The candidates should compulsorily apply for fee reimbursement of eligible

fees as per the relevant Govt. Orders. Online on Social Welfare Department website failing which the

candidates have to pay the entire fee as that of general candidates. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe

category candidates who have been allotted seat under general category and relevant category, whose

parental annual income from all sources is below Rs.2.50 lakhs are eligible for exemption / reimbursement

ii. Candidate belonging to Backward Communities and Minorities: The candidates should compulsorily apply

have to pay the entire fee as that of general candidates. The candidates who have been allotted seat under
