Language Objectives:1. Choose three to seven places that are very familiar to

you and write them in the table

2. Select and write down three to seven nouns that represent things or ideas that are important about the place.

3. Decide on an icon to represent each of these nouns. Find clip art on line to represent these nouns. Do this in the table provided for you.

4. Up load your work and share it with Mrs. Swanson.

5. Print the table so that you can use it on Lifeland.

6. Complete your Lifeland Map:1. Design a bubble letter on paper.2. Create islands for places farther away.3. Contour a road to run through your land.4. Designate areas of your “land” for each setting. 5. Draw a compass rose and an area for a legend.6. Color the map carefully7. Cut out your icons and place them in the

appropriate sectors to represent that setting in your life.

8. Write your name on the back.9. Turn it into the counter.
