    ABOUT THE SKILL ASSESSMENT MODULES

USING THE CORRELATIONS FOR TABE™ PREPARATION The Teacher Correlations in this booklet provide you with a program for guiding your students toward mastery on the TABE (Tests of Adult Basic Education). Resources and exercises for students to complete are listed for Levels L, E, M, D, and A in Reading, Math, Language, Vocabulary, Language Mechanics, and Spelling.

The Teacher Correlations include (1) the skills and subskills in the subject areas measured by the TABE, (2) a list of resources and assignments, (3) and a section where you can jot down NOTES on your students and/or the various SAMs resources and exercises. By matching the questions your students answer incorrectly on TABE Forms 9 and 10 with the relevant resources and exercises in the correlations, you can target those areas which need more work. A student’s actual score and your personal knowledge of his/her work will determine the number of exercises you assign.
