Dear Queensland RSL Sub-branch, Veterans’ or Ex-service Organisation,

WELFARE GRANTS OFFERED AS A PERCENTAGE OF PURCHASES IN

2021

If your organisation raises funds for the purposes of:

• providing welfare for veterans and their families; and/or

• the construction and restoration of war memorials; and/or

• the presentation and preservation of Australian wartime memorabilia; and/or

• promoting the Spirit of ANZAC through education

then you meet the criteria for raising funds through the sale of the badges and/or tokens and ANZAC

items supplied by the ADCC. If your organisation has a legitimate veteran welfare program and uses

our merchandise to raise funds for this purpose, you should read the rest of this letter carefully.

Many of you will be aware that since 2004, welfare grants have been offered to RSL

sub-branches and like ex-service organisations based on 10% of the value of purchases for the

annual ANZAC Day Appeal.

The ADCC Executive has voted to continue to offer these grants again in 2021 at the rate of 10% of

total value of orders placed during the period 1 February to 30 June for those who send payment with

their order (there is no longer a cash discount associated with welfare grants) and 5% for those orders

from organisations who do not wish to pay ‘up front’.

The only requirement is that the welfare grant component of an order must be used for veteran

welfare and the Committee expects that all outstanding accounts for ANZAC Appeal items will be

settled no later than November 30th 2021.

PLEASE NOTE: It is most important that these welfare grants are declared on your returns to the

ANZAC Day Trust. We Supply the Trust with a list of the recipients and how much they have been

given.

If you are an interstate ex-service organisation, or a Queensland organisation that qualifies to sell

ANZAC Day merchandise but does not have a welfare programme, you are eligible for a 5%

discount for sending payment with your order.

As in previous years you will be supplied with a choice of cover sheets to calculate your payment.

Please ensure you use the correct one. Orders that have been calculated incorrectly will be issued with

an invoice for any shortfall or a credit note for any over payment.
