• To show you do not consent to sex, you have to say ‘no’

• You can withdraw your consent to sex at any time, even if it has already started

• You can consent to one thing, like sexual touching, but that doesn’t mean you consent to sex

•Touching someone in a sexual way without their consent is called indecent assault

•Oral sex is not sexual penetration under the law

•If someone is asleep they cannot consent to sex

•If you are 15, you cannot consent to sex with someone who is more than 24 months older than you

•You can’t get in trouble for watching and egging on someone to indecently assault someone else if you weren’t actually the one doing the act

•A person accused of a criminal offence has the right to be treated innocent until proven guilty

•If someone is found guilty of rape they could go to jail for 25 years

•If someone is found guilty of indecent assault they could go to jail for 10 years

•People under 18 cannot be put on the Register of Sex Offenders
