Message from the PresidentHello and welcome to the summer edition of the Conqueror newsletter. I am proud to announce that Conqueror’s 7th Annual Meeting had been a resounding success and our event was covered by some of the top freight forwarding journals. This year we were joined by nearly 130 agents from more than 100 cities who flew all the way to Kuala Lumpur to promote their individual

companies and lay the foundation of exciting business prospects for the future.

It had been a great pleasure to meet all of you in person and I hope our 7th Annual Meeting has helped you secure plenty of new business deals. Conqueror’s 7th Annual Meeting has indeed been a very special one since this year we introduced our new member-exclusive online tool FreightViewer – a freight rate management software which would allow Conqueror members to come up with instant online door to door quotations for their clients and partners. Apart from optimizing the global rate management processes, the FreightViewer would also allow our members to device a fully consistent global pricing policy.

Our new online tool along with our personalized website has been created after months of tireless working so that our valued agents get to concentrate on the core aspects of their businesses rather than spending time on dreary manual quotations. I am confident that our new online tool will ensure that our members no longer lose out a single shipment to faster competitors.

Like always you will find all the regular sections in our newsletter along with a special page dedicated to our new software. Wishing you a happy and productive summer!

Kind regards,

Antonio Torres President and FounderConqueror Freight Network

CONQUEROR’S 7TH ANNUAL MEETING AT KUALA LUMPUR WAS ATTENDED BY 130 FREIGHT FORWARDERS

Conqueror’s 7th Annual Meeting has been an all-out success. Nearly 130 freight forwarders representing more than 100 cities came together at the Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, where they bolstered their business activities by meeting their fellow Conqueror agents while deliberating on future projects and industry defining issues.

The Annual Meeting highlights included a warm cocktail reception and a lively dinner party which gave the delegates a chance to indulge in some fun and frolick. The meeting obviously provided ample networking opportunities with the scheduled one-to-one meetings of the agents along with the informal business talks held in course of the lunch, dinner and coffee breaks.

Have a look at our video and our post-conference brochure to see the highlights of a very successful meeting!

INTRODUCTION OF OUR FREIGHTVIEWER

Our brand new Freight Rate Management software would enable Conqueror agents to come up with instant online door to door quotations for their services any time of the day from 140 + countries.

The recently launched member exclusive online tool would offer CQR members a continuous feed of global shipping rates and tariffs from loads of different carriers on a single platform. While working with a number of suppliers, freight forwarders often tend to get confused with the varying carrier rates. Complicated tariffs, unresponsive overseas agents and the differences in time zones are some of the factors which contribute to a delay in providing the customers with a quotation for a door-to-door service.

Take a look at the video by clicking the following link to get an idea about the advantages of the FreightViewer:

FreightViewer is a digital quoting platform which would not only optimize the international rate management processes but also help your company to implement a steady global pricing policy.

Furthermore, this new tool would also allow you to easily store and distribute the shipping rates to your customers or partners. All you need to do is enter the details of your shipment and you will immediately be able to compare your contract rate with that of other members of the network.

VOLVO INTRODUCES THE ALL-NEW GAS-POWERED VOLVO FH LNG WHICH WILL CONSIDERABLY REDUCE THE CLIMATE FOOTPRINT FOR HEAVY TRUCK OPERATORSThese Euro 6 compliant heavy-duty trucks which are powered by biogas or LNG are expected to have a positive impact on the climate footprint

The new trucks of Volvo which come with the same fuel consumption and performance as that of their previous models are much more environmentally sustainable because of their lower carbon dioxide emissions. The CO2 emissions of the new trucks are around 20% - 100% lower than the diesel-powered engines. Running on LNG (liquefied natural gas), the new Volvo models come with 420 or 460 horsepower for local or long-distance operations. The Volvo FH/FM LNG which makes use of the diesel cycle technology would allow the operator to run the truck on gas without compromising on the performance or fuel efficiency.

In the words of Lars Martensson, the Director of Environment and Innovation at Volvo Trucks, “With our new trucks running on liquefied natural gas or biogas, we can offer an alternative with low climate impact that also meets high demands on performance, fuel efficiency and operating range. The new gas-powered Volvo FH LNG is a combination that our customers in regional and long-haulage require….” While the use of natural gas would result in a 20% reduction in carbon footprints, the use of biogas would lead to a whopping 100% shrinkage. Lars Martensson has further added that “Natural gas offers clear climate upsides, it is competitively priced in many countries, and there are sufficient reserves to justify large-scale use. Our focus on LNG vehicles is creating new prerequisites for our customers to run fuel and cost-efficient operations. At the same time, we’re making it possible for heavy truck operations to considerably reduce their climate impact…”
