In this lesson we learn the usage of CONNECTORS OF REASON, CAUSE & PURPOSE.We use the following connectors to introduce the above.
Because, As, Since, Seeing that
Let us study the following pair of sentences.
I did not go to school. I was sick.
By observing the above two sentences we understood that the second sentences gives the reason for the first sentence.

The connectors of Reason, Cause and purpose should be joined to that clause which proposes them.
Hence, by joining the above sentences, we write as follows:I did not go to school because I was ill.I did not go to school as I was ill.I did not go to school seeing that I was ill.
As the above sentences are complex sentences we can write them by changing the clauses.Because I was ill, I did not go to school.Seeing that I was ill, I did not go to school. As I was ill, I did not go to school.

In our next lesson we learn another set of CONNECTORS - REASON, CAUSE & PURPOSE.
LET LEARNING CONTINUES.
