Fischer Connectors offers remote handling option for its Fischer Core Series Stainless Steel connectors. This gives the possibility to use the connector in hazardous or contaminated environments like nuclear or medical applications.
The remote handling option enables the user to operate this connecting solution remotely with the assistance of a teleoperator or a robot ensuring user safety. The Fischer Core Series features an easy push-pull mating system, allowing simple movements for mating, unmating and full control of the operations.
The remote handling option of this connecting solution is therefore easy to implement on a robotic movement sequence.

Testing may be required.3) Recommended max. operating current per contact at 40°C temperature rise measured according to IEC 60512-3-5b.4) Recommended operating voltage at sea level measured according to IEC 60664-1. This rated voltage is a general purpose guideline where no other electrical safety standard applies. In cases where other standards rule a specific use of the connector, the application-specific safety criteria shall be considered first. This must be evaluated in the framework of equip-ment engineering. The Fischer Core Series offers high performance push-pull circular connectors and cable assembly solutions. The Stainless Steel range is made of premium materials (316L, PEEK, EPDM) to secure outstanding chemical, tempe-rature and radiation resistance. This connector is specially designed for areas where long-term reliable solutions in the most severe environments are required, such as nuclear, medical applications and more. The Fischer Core Series Stainless Steel connectors combine radioactive decontamination and microbiological sterilization. They can be manipulated easily with gloves thanks to the patented industry standard push-pull locking system.
