Congressman Kevin Brady | R-TX 8th District

Kevin Brady proudly serves the 8th Congressional District of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives.

He is only the third Texan in history to lead the powerful House Ways & Means Committee which is the first and oldest committee in Congress. Here he oversees many of the most important issues facing our nation: taxes, health care, Social Security, Medicare, welfare and international trade.

As chairman Kevin led the first overhaul of America’s tax code in three decades which has made America the most competitive economy in the world. Thanks to tax reform, unemployment is the best in half a century, paychecks are growing at the fastest in a decade and American jobs are coming back from overseas.

Prior to his election to Congress, Kevin worked as a chamber of commerce executive for 18 years and served six years in the Texas House of Representatives, where he was named one of the Ten Best Legislators for Families & Children.

In order to stay close to the people he represents, Kevin never moved to Washington and returns home to Montgomery County each week where he lives with his wife Cathy and his two sons Will and Sean, both of whom attended schools in the Conroe Independent School District.

Kevin is an original Hometown Hero of The Woodlands, a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary and a Distinguished Alumni of the University of South Dakota.
