Account: Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University

• Challenge: Kellogg’s presentation folder featured reinforced edges and plastic lamination in order to be strong enough to do jobs required by every department in the school, making it expensive and not at all eco-friendly.

• Solution: The Conformer folder features strong construction eliminating excess materials and adding more versatile capacity. Saved money was put to better use on an embossed Kellogg logo and flood coated interior in school color. The FSC logo was put on the back cover.

• Challenge: Replace an unattractive bubble mailer with a more sustainable and print-friendly mailing solution to send to new accounts.

• Solution: The Conformer paperboard mailer, made of 85% recycled

content (18 pt. CCNB), expands up to 1 ¼” to hold BIC’s catalog and samples. It is inkjet printed with a 2-color BIC Graphics logo.

• Challenge: Replace a problematic, costly gusseted envelope custom designed to run on insertion equipment with a mailing solution that wouldn’t jam equipment and could handle contents of varying thickness. (i.e. doctor provider book for RI, ¼” thick vs. NJ, ¾” thick.

• Solution: The 9 3/8" x 12 5/8“ Conformer envelope with a max capacity of 1.25”, made of 32# white kraft was recommended to Oxford by Pitney Bowes because of its superior performance on standard PB insertion equipment. Conformer eliminated the inserter jamming problems and was less expensive.
