The MonkeyToe adjustable roof mounting system ensures the correct installation of condenser units, fans and other lightweight equipment on the roof.

All fixings utilise the special MonkeyToe Roofing clip which ensures excellent roof protection from incompatible materials, incorrect fixing procedures, debris traps and blocked roofing pans.

Roof angle adjustment can be achieved from 4°- 45° (extra bracing may be required at higher angles).

Louvre supports can be simply fixed to the MonkeyToe adjustable system to further enhance the presentation of the installation if it is visible from public areas.

Specification Summary

Supply and install the proprietary Monkeytoe Adjustable Condenser Mounting system as per Manufacturer Monkeytoe Group Ltd specifications. The capacity of the Monkeytoe mounts is governed by: weight of unit, the purlin spacing and the pitch of the roof, these 3 parameters dictate the type of mount to be used. Where the application is outside those parameters indicated on the ‘load capacity’ chart (opposite), consult Monkeytoe for further recommendations. Mounts are to be levelled up if roof pitch is greater than 3º.

The MonkeyToe® Walkway has minimal contact points with the roof. The walkway can span up to 3000mm between fixing points to the building without further strengthening. The 3000mm spanning capabilities of the walkways means access over skylights or other fragile products is not an issue. The open knurled mesh offers safe, non-slip access even in icy conditions.

This system has been designed to the AS/NZS 1170, Parts 0, 1, 2, 3 & 5 Structural design actions and in accordance with the Building B1 structure and B2 durability codes. To achieve this, all materials are non-corrosive and compatible with the roofing products. Installation of the MonkeyToe® system is simple and fast as there are so few components.

SPECIFICATIONS

The MonkeyToe® Walkway requires limited or no-extra penetrations to the roof. The system uses existing roof fixing penetrations, and support clips are fixed similar to a standard load-bearing roof fixing.

All loadings are transferred back to the building structure meaning that the durability or longevity of the walkways is not dependant on the durability or strength of the roof profile.

In raising the walkways 200mm from the roof, debris traps have been eliminated. Rain, sun and wind can still get under the walkways to remove any unwanted, corrosion -causing debris. The 200mm step from the walkway to the roof deters personnel from leaving the designated service walkway, thus further reducing roof damage.

SPECIFICATIONSThe Skywalk Walkway system is a new generation walkway which combines the many benefits of Monkey Toe’s premium manufactured walkway, to a walkway that is a total proprietary system. The walkway deck is an FRP (fibreglass) grating which is fixed down with specialised clips to the longitudinal support beams. With the MonkeyToe® Skywalk Walkways, all loadings are transferred back to the building structure using specialised fixing clips, meaning that the durability or longevity of the walkways is not dependant on the durability or strength of the roof profile.

These platforms are fully meshed to provide safe durable maintenance areas for service personnel. Platforms are supported on fully welded trusses fabricated to suit the roof pitch and purlin spacings.

Proprietary handrails can be simply and quickly added to give complete building and Health & Safety compliance when there are risks of falls; as per (NZS/AS 1657:1992). Louvre supports can be incorporated into the platform structure to further enhance the presentation of the platform if the installation is visible from public areas.
