PURPOSE

To celebrate excellence within the readymix sector.

CATEGORIES

1. Technical Excellence - for projects which demanded innovative technical solutions.

2. Extra Distance Award - for project success determined by uncompromising commitment to customer satisfaction.

3. Annual Plant Audit Committee Supreme Award - awarded by the Plant Audit Committee. No application is necessary for this award.

RULES

1.0 ELIGIBILITY

1.1 The project being considered for an award must have reached completion not more than 24 months prior to the closing date for the awards.

1.2 The project must be based in New Zealand.

1.3 Joint entries from two or more companies are permitted.

1.4 Scale of the project is immaterial.

1.5 Projects may be from any part of the readymix concrete market.

1.6 The principal entrant must be a Concrete NZ Readymix Sector Group Full Member.

2.0 JUDGING

The judges will be the President of the Concrete NZ Readymix Sector Group, the Chief Executive of Concrete NZ, the President of the Concrete NZ Learned Society or their nominees.

The judges’ decision shall be final in all respects.

3.0 FORM OF ENTRY

Entries must reach the Concrete NZ Readymix Sector Group, PO Box 448, Wellington 6140 no later than 31 August 2018 and should comprise the following:

3.1 A completed entry form (as attached).

3.2 A description of the project not exceeding 500 words and including the following:

(a) A description of the purpose and requirements of the work.

(b) Justification of the project features which merit recognition.

(c) A brief statement covering any unusual features, innovative approaches adopted or particular specification requirements.

3.3 A minimum of two high resolution images (1MB or larger) of the project. These can be emailed to [email protected] or posted on disc to the address above.

The entry can also be emailed to [email protected].

4.0 OWNERSHIP AND PUBLICATION OF MATERIAL

All material submitted in conjunction with entries shall become the property of the Concrete NZ Readymix Sector Group which reserves the right to make whatever use it may consider desirable without incurring any liability whatsoever with respect to the payment of any fees or royalties. Such use may include publication and/or display of any complete entry or part thereof.

5.0 AWARD RESULTS AND PRESENTATION

The decision of the judges will be announced and awards presented at the 2018 New Zealand Concrete Industry Conference formal dinner held Friday 12 October at the Claudelands Event Centre in Hamilton.
