The increase of productivity has alwaysbeen the primary concern in everyagricultural and rural development efforts.Various methods and technology systemshas been employed and looked into aspossible solutions to ensure high yields.But sometimes, these methods are notalways the best solutions. Most of themcome at a certain price.

Certain employed techniques in ensuring high yields require inputs such as fertilizers andpesticides. These imposed severe cost thatburdens small farmers. Aside from this,increased productivity comes in such a highprice environmental degration. The use ofchemical fertilizers and pesticides tend tostrip the soil of its natural nutrients, therebycausing the environment to degrade.

Materials 10 Kilo of crude sugar 10 liters refresh milk Earthen Jar 1 liter ricewash

Procedure: Save the first rice wash because this has plenty

of good microorganisms. Place in a clay jar.

Rice wash should be 7 inches deep. Place the jar ina cool and shaded place. After 7 days the rice bran will float on top.

Strain and use only the water of LAS

Put in a jar and add fresh milk 10 times itsquantity

Cover with a clean sheet of paper and tie with astring. After 7 days fat will float on top andunderneath is a yellowish substance

Extract only the yellowish substance without thefat and add crude sugar the same amount of theLAS spill will not spoil. Store in a cool and shadedplace for seven days.

Mix 2 tablespoon of LAS to 1 liter of water. Thiscan be used as animal drink and can also besprinkled to plants and compost.
