NET SURVEY – Roman team – Dec. 2012 Step 1 At home we read about teenagers’ attitude to computers an as homework we had to think of 10 questions for a survey.

Step 2 In class we discussed about our questions and chose the most relevant ones. Here they are

1)How many people have a pc or a laptop or a tablet at home? 2) How many connected devices have you got at home?3)How many hours do you spend at your device?4)What do you use your computer for?5)Do you usually buy things  on the internet ?6)Have you ever joined in a social network?7)What do you do to preserve your online safety?8)Do you think the Net can cause any problems?9) Do you think it can really be the best way of info sharing?10)Is life better with the Net?                   

Step 3 We carried out our survey in our class and in another class of our school. Each pair of pupils took care of a question.

Question n. 4 What do you use your computer for?

In our class all of stundents use the computer for the internet. They listen to music, download music, watch videos or log in social networks, they also use the internet to do school researches.Others use internet to read, to do skype, to buy online. Few students use internet to edit photos.

Question n. 8 Do you think the Net can cause any problems?

In a class of 18 students, we have asked this question : Do you think internet can cause any problems? And here there are the results:-4 students think that with Internet, exspecially with the socials networks, you can become closed in yourself.-2 students think that you can read true or false information in internet-3 students think that if we continue to use social network, people only chatting and they probabily won’t meet in the reality-6 people think that Internet and social networks create too much dipendence and if you use it when you have to do something, you won’t be concentrated.-3 people say that it’s useful to using intenet to chat with far friends but if you always use it , it can be dangerous for your brain.

Question n. 10 Is life better with the Net?

We asked this to our class mates:- 8 people answered that is better, because you can search and share information and communicate with the others;- 4 people said that’s worse, because it has some drawbacks like brain damages and less relation between people: they think that you can live without Internet;- 4 people think that the Net has its positive and negative sides, because it’s very useful but is addictive;- 2 people said that they don’t know, because in their life they’ve always used Internet
