Computer

A computer is a

machine. It makes

work easy for us. We

can use it to solve

problems, make

calculations or talk to

our friend.

The parts of the

computer that you can

see and touch are called the Hardware of the computer. These include

the screen, keyboard, mouse, CPU and printer.

The keyboard is used to type and enter data to the computer. The CPU

uses that data to perform the task that we need to have done. It displays

the results on the screen, from which we can see and read. We use the

mouse to move the pointer or switch to a different window. A printer is

used to print out the results on a sheet of paper to be used afterwards.

Look at your computer and ask your parents to show you these hardware

parts of the computer.

Computers have made life easy for all of us. No longer do we have to

spend a lot of time solving difficult problems, the computer can solve it in

a few seconds. Also, they are always correct and accurate and never make

any errors in their calculations.
