authors. • 2010: Inclusive Campus Community Award: Award from UCSC Disability Resource Center for

creating a welcoming campus climate for students with disabilities, especially those with learning, psychological, Autism Spectrum, and other disabilities that are not always apparent

Have you previously been involved in any CRA activities? If so, describe. As a follow-up to the North America’s Computing Research Association gathering in 2010, UC Santa Cruz organized a workshop to brainstorm on how graduate research in game design and development can contribute to computing research. I was involved as a panelist in that event, sharing my experience of how research and development of rehabilitation games and games for health and wellbeing can contribute to computing research.

List any other relevant experience and year(s) it occurred (list--no more than *five* items). • 2015: Program Board member, 8th International Conference on Universal Access in Human-

Computer Interaction • 2014: General Chair, 16th International ACM SIGACCESS Conference on Computers & Accessibility • 2014: Keynote speaker, Society of Asian Scientists & Engineers (SASE) Western Regional

Conference • 2012: Guest of honor - invited speaker, Assisted Technologies Workshop - guest of honor invited

speech. CRIM (Centre de Recherche Informatique de Montréal), Montreal, QC, Canada • 2010: Invited speaker, Game Accessibility Day, 6th Games for Health Conference

Research interests: (list only) • Assistive technology • Games for health and wellbeing • Human-Computer Interaction • Accessible computing

Personal Statement Being a woman and of ethnic minority, I have the privilege to become a role model for these two underrepresented groups in Computer Science and Engineering research and education. I plan to focus my effort as a Board of Director member to reach women and ethnic minorities at all career levels to diversify the talent pool in CSE. I would like to give talks to show that it is possible to be successful in research (I have over 100 peer-reviewed publications and funding from major federal funding agencies), and to make a social impact through computing research and education.
