pioneering, woman-centered

services with the opening of the

Faulkner Breast Centre in 1988. Since that time, the

Faulkner Breast Centre has earned an outstanding

reputation for exceptional care of women with

breast cancer by providing the most up-to-date,

comprehensive breast care, including active

clinical research, high-quality treatment and patienteducation.

When breast surgery and other treatments are

necessary, the Faulkner Breast Centres treatment

team works together to respond to patients and

their families. This clinical team of experts from

Brigham and Womens Hospital, Dana-Farber

Cancer Institute and Faulkner Hospital helps guide

patients every step of the way through their cancer

diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. By

providing state-of-the-art diagnostics, research-

based treatment and caring, competent staff you

Dana-Farber/Brigham and Womens Cancer

Dana-Farber/Brigham and Womens Cancer Center

opened a satellite center at Faulkner Hospital in

2006.

The center provides expert care for patients with

breast cancer, hematologic, gastrointestinal, and

thoracic cancers and blood diseases.

Patients receive medical oncology care including

clinical trials in a convenient setting. Imaging

services and support programs, such as nutritionand psychosocial services are also available.
