    Types of Composting

Backyard composting: A good way of managing organic waste at home. To start, youll needa bin(any size) to store the compost. You can put left over foods into the bin along with waterto make it moist. After the material in the bin had turn brown, crumpled, and smell like grass,it means the material had turn into compost.

    Worm composting

Another way of managing you organic wasteis through worm composting. First, youll needa container to put the worms in. Second, youshould drill holes on the bottom of thecontainer so water can flow through. Third, make a bedding for the worms by usingshredded newspaper or dead plants. Thenput worms in the container( two types ofworms: Eisenia foetida and Lumbricus rubellus )Third, feed the worms, (fruits, meat, veggies, leftovers, ect) After about 3 month, worms will

turn the food into rich compost. You can do thecycle again but remember to separate the wormsfrom the finished compost or else they die. Enjoy!
