The above is the most common statement we hear 9 out of 10 times while

admitting a student.

Hobby Playing is a very wrongly used term, it’s more like a shield to no

practice, and no commitment but truth is that either one will play it or one will

not be able to play it.

To us hobby just means that you are not earning from it but that is not a

compromise or compensation with learning anyhow. Is it that?

Should we not let a student play few simple tunes and songs in rhythm in

months or years just because one say I am a hobby player or should we

deliver half hearted, half committed, half dedicated, half music information and

not even complete rudiments because they say they want to learn for hobby?

Minimum age for Registration in Program is 10 years and there is No Maximum Age Limit.

HOW TO APPLY

Step # 2, Submitting the Application and Registration of Student

An application for the program must be made via an official Registration process only (also available at website –

www.guitarmonk.com). Student can submit the filled application form at the mentioned locations or via website. If a

student has not submitted the application fee then they need to do it for consideration in the batch.

Step # 1, Collecting the Prospectus and Application for the batch

Prospectus + Registration form can be collected as free via online only.

An interested student can apply for the course by filling the application either as online or offline via a basic

application fee of Rs. 1000. (Refundable if student is not selected for the batch).

Applicant can submit the Application Fee as Bank Transfer in A/c, Cheque in favor of ‘Guitarmonk Entertainment

Private Limited” or Online Payment, Cash or Draft. All Payments are to be payable at New Delhi only.

Based on application, students will be selected for registration in program. Selected students will be called for batch

finalization 30 days before the program. Please Note that Application doesn’t mean confirmation of seat of student.

Guitarmonk will have full discretion on student selection which is based on batch strength, age groups parameters

selection etc. This course has limited student’s admission only so we take care that not all students are admitted

immediately. This practice is to ensure and maintain value in the program.

Anybody who wants to learn guitar and music can participate in this program.

ELIGIBILITY

Step # 3, Appointments for Admission of Registered Student

Received applications are shortlisted and selected prospects will be called for finalization of batches and admission.

Students are requested to admit themselves for the program when they are called. They can also ask any question or

forward their doubt on email and telecom in case if they have any.

Please Note: Admission in the program is based on first come first serve basis and fixation of batch. Each batch will

entertain limited seats and limited students in a location considering mentor’s limitation to hold sessions. Each year there

will be 7-8 batches maximum by the mentor @ diversified locations. Students are requested to confirm their admissions

immediately so that they can be part of the program in the relative centre as this is a benefit course. Please note that if

students are more for a batch then admission is strictly under guitarmonk discretion. Date may vary to meet

requirements.

Why just 80 hours are required and not more?

As we mentioned that it’s an organized learning. You have curriculum in

hand, reference written material and you don’t have to waste your time in

writing topics in class but meditating upon intensive topics & concepts with

the teacher and that pace up your learning. There may be students who want

to go slower but their may be some who will run more fast. We already

described that beginning start with the program and don’t end here. Imagine

as if you are planning to be a speaker, or a boxer or weight lifter or a

swimmer and in this case a musician meditating, fun loving, self-developing

and entertaining, composing in guitar. Isn’t this what our objective is? This

program is going to cover your all rudimentary moves, tricks, stamina

workouts and knowledge so that you become your own teacher and is no

longer a novice in the arena. You will always keep building-up; developing

and improvising on yours own with things you will learn in this program.

How much time you need to invest on learning & Practice?

Min 20-30 minutes daily practice is required while you are

developing the program under a teacher.

Why just 80 hours are required and not less i.e. 20, 30, 40?

Take any training program be it swimming, gym or language or sports

activity. You will observe that a minimum 3 to 6 months schedule is followed

to see results. Even qualified gym coach would advise you to invest minimum

3-4-6 months for a bit of muscle growth. The philosophy behind this

regularity is consistent development of finger muscles via a disciplined

process. Moreover consistency plays a vital role in developing and

programming the mind and the body.

The 80 hour program covers most of the concepts required for a guitar lover,

player and which are essential for complete rudimentary training. Students

opting for lesser than these courses will risk on incomplete knowledge and

that is dangerous to their experience. For example if we have to cover some

important topic or concept as swing and basics of notation reading, we

cannot endorse it to a half way student, we need time to teach it and these

concept makes our student completely capable to read any music and play

all swing style songs. We cannot skip these styles in learning.

NEVER LEARN LOOSELY - Any activity which is loosely placed be it music or

sport say carom, table-tennis, guitar or gym can only helps in shifting the

mental focus but not making out the required output and benefits we want.
