Background: Though it is not clear how long The Music Shop has been around. The web site makes no mention of time frame. It does look like they have been around for quite a while. They are focusing on lessons as well as equipment rental and the sales of newand used musical instruments. Target Audience: The audience spans music lovers of all ages. It does seem they would like a youngermarket of people for the purposes of music lessons and instrument rental. Objectives: We propose to create a more organized atmosphere on the web site. The original is very distracting and unorganized. It is difficult to know where to go to buy things. A site re-do is in order. Obstacles: There is a lot of information to gather and redistribute. To be able to organize in such a way that it is obvious to know where to click to purchase things. Key Benefits: It would be nice to be able improve the e-commerce on this site to improve their business. Locals may be able to find things okay, because its all they have known for years, but, I want to make this site usable for anyone. Support Statements: I don’t want to alienate anyone, but I think that anything is animprovement. Lets be proud of the work we do. Tone: The current scheme, is abrasive and makes my eyes hurt. The new proposed color scheme and organization will make it a relaxed place to buy musical instruments. Creative Considerations: The fonts used and the logo are unprofessional and ugly. We hope to fix that. CONCEPT STATEMENT
