The Promess Assembly Monitoring System consists of a microprocessor-based electronic unit which monitors the signals from analog or digital sensors mounted on the machine. For example, in a press application, a force load cell and position transducer are normally used to generate a signature. Analysis is then performed by comparing the signature of each assembly with a taught profile.

The assembly profile is monitored within anadjustable window which allows the user todefine the critical part of the assembly cycle. During this critical part of the assembly operation, the force level is closely monitored.

The touchpoint and full depth positions are also set to be within an adjustable tolerance. The full depth position can be monitored based on an absolute position or relative to the touchpoint.

PROMESS monitors the entire process window for precise in-process quality information. With the ability to set limits and tolerances, you can be alerted when an assembly doesn’t meet your standards.

The Method

The Product• High & low force limits• Monitoring of full depth of press in reference to touchpoint• High sampling rate allows monitoring of very fast cycle time• Retrofitted to existing machines• In-process, on-line, quality verification• User friendly / menu driven software• System electronics adaptable to non-Promess sensors• Upgradeable• Part traceability• Backed by Promess support, 24/7/365

Features & Benefits: Promess Provides:• Monitoring electronics• Force transducer• Position transducer• Installation assistance• Training• Data acquisition (optional)

If you have a competitive system that does not work, we will integrate our technology with your existing components to make it work.
