COMPILATION REPORT OF MARCH MONTH
Report on LIC Inspection
Date: 2/3/2017
Name of Inspectors: Smt. Mangalam Sriram, Smt. Shubangi Pangam, Vd. Salunkhe Ajay Trambakrao, Smt. Jacinta Lobo
Sinhgad College of Nursing underwent the LIC Inspection, 4 member committee visited the College and evaluated the academic progress, achievements, and activities conducted for student welfare.
The members were guided and briefed about college, hospital and other facilities provided to students under the STES umbrella. The members also visited the clinical areas and evaluated sudents performance. Head counting of the staff members and verification of documents was done.
The committee members visited the community area and NSS camp organized by T.Y.B.BSc. Nursing.
At the end the reports was prepared in presence of the committee members and the same sealed and send to MUHS.
Report on National Conference

Venue: Smt Kashibai Navle Medical college auditorium
Theme: Emerging Challenges: A Breakthrough to Nursing Excellence
Organised by: Mr. Samuel Fernandis& Mrs Reshma Salve
The Delegates who participated were Registered Staff Nurses from Maharashtra. The total participants were 1111. Out of which 863 have done online registration, 250 have not logged in and their respective list has been sent to MNC.
Anchoring was done by Mrs Shilpa Bakal & Mrs Harilakshmi. Welcome Dance was presented by Mr. Pawan & Ms Supriya followed by Inauguration which was done by the
hands of Dr.Jyoti V. Naikare Principal Sinhgad College of Nursing Pune & The Resource Persons.

Dr. Shirely David Additional Dean of CON ,CMC Vellore. -Spoke on, “Impact of Emerging Technology On Nursing Care.” Dr. Sudha Raddi, Dean of KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum. - Spoke on , “ Factuality of Nursing Practice Vs Nursing Ethics.” Dr. Meena Ganpathy Principal,MKSS Smt. Bakul Tambat INE,Pune. - Spoke on , “ Mastering Professional Decorum.” Dr. Shilpa Kulkarni Principal,Matrix School of Management Studies, Pune. - Spoke on, “Mentoring Minds for Prosperous Profession.” Mr. Samuel Fernandis Vice Principal,Sinhgad College of Nursing - Spoke on, “Mentoring Minds for Prosperous Nursing Profession.”
MNC Observer:- Dr. Sripriya Gopalkrishnan Principal, Sadhu Vasvani CON ,Pune. There were five sessions. After first three sessions Delicious Lunch was systematically
arranged & catered by catering committee. After Lunch break remaining two sessions were conducted. After last session Valedictory program was conducted in which MNC Observer gave her
over all remark of the National Conference. Some of the delegates also shared their responses with positive note.
Vote of thanks was offered by Mrs,Leena S. Aswale HOD Obstetrics & Gynecology Department SCON Pune.
A certificate of MNC & National Conference was handed over to the local delegates & to the delegates outside the Pune City.
This Conference was the greatest achievement of the College.
Report on Women’s Day celebration
Date: 8th march 2017
Time: 10am.
Venue: ANC OPD
Women’s day theme: “Women In Changing World Of Work: Planet 50-50 By 2030.”
International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the India by the Indian people with great zeal
and passion on 8th of March to increase the awareness about women’s rights. This event
celebration plays a great role in distributing the real message about the women’s right and their
place in the society. It promotes the living condition of the women by solving their social issues.
STUDENT’S ACTIVITY:
2nd year MSc Nursing student contributed in the celebration of International Women’s day on 8th
march 2017 in ANC OPD, prepared high iron rich diet samples for mother : which includes
sprouts, groundnut and jaggery laddu’s, banana, apple, pomegranate, oranges, tomato, green
leafy vegetable, green leafy vegetable, eggs all these packets distributed to mother who was
attending OPD. Invited to Head of OBGY department of hospital Dr. Shekhawat sir and other
Dr. Damle , Dr. Risbud and all Nursing staff. Health education was given to mother about health
and about many other factors.
Report On Faculty Development Programme
Date: 29/3/17-30/3/17
Venue: Sinhgad Law College, Pune
Sinhgad Law College has organized faculty development programme in collaboration with Sinhgad College of Nursing and Sport medicine association Pune.
Session begin with refreshments and physical examination of faculties of Nursing college and Law College by Team of sport medicine association. They checked basic parameter like height, weight, BMR, waist and hip ratio, pulse rate and breath holding capacity, percentage of fat.
Mrs. Asha faculty of Sinhgad Law College Introduced the speaker and felicitation done and welcome note given by Dr.Arunachalam Chettiar, Principal Sinhgad Law College.
Session was started by Dr. Sarda, Child Specialist spoke on importance of diet in physical fitness .Dr.Mandakini Pansare (Retd,Professor of physiotherapy dealt the topic like Evaluation of Yoga in physical fitness.
Last sessions taken by Dr.Nitin Dhavale on Evaluation of fitness. All session were informative and educative.
The programme concluded by vote of thanks given by Mrs.Kavita Kelkar.The programme was ended by at 1pm.
Report On World Tuberculosis Day
Date: 24th March 2017.
Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Venue: SKNMC & General Hospital, Narhe, Pune. (Chest OPD)
Theme: Unite To End TB: Leave No One Behind
• Department of Medical Surgical Nursing along with Second Year M. Sc. (Medical
Surgical Specialty) Nursing and Third Year Basic B. Sc. Nursing (2016-2017)
celebrated World Tuberculosis Day on 24th March 2017.
• Programme was inaugurated by Dr. Gauri Godbole (HOD, Pulmonary medicine) and
Mrs. Kapre (Nursing Superintendent, SKNMC).
• Day was celebrated by poster exhibition street play and health talk on Prevention and
management of tuberculosis at chest OPD. Students had drawn Rangoli on Theme
Logo in front of Chest OPD.
• Anchoring done by Mr. Prashant Pakhare student of T.Y. Basic B.Sc Nursing and
Jyotsana Waghmare S. Y. M. Sc. Nursing.
• The Third Year Basic B. Sc. Nursing Students had organized a street play on
Awareness on prevention of Tuberculosis and Second Year M. Sc. Students gave
health talk followed by poster presentation based on the theme at the chest OPD.
• The points covered in the health talk were knowledge about introduction to
tuberculosis, causes, risk factors, symptoms, preventive measures such as lifestyle
modification, diet, prevention of addictions, exercise, regular health checkup, stress
management & health promotional activities like exercises, yoga & relaxation
technique.
• Teachers from TY B.Sc. department Ms. Nikita Wagh and Mrs. Tejashri M. guided
the students for programme. Madam Dongare Assistant Nursing Superitendent of
Nawale Hospital attended the programme and appreciated the students for their
activity.
• The group participation was there, patients & relatives have clarified their doubts
with the students.
• The Programme ended at 1:00 pm by Vote of thanks given by Mr. Sanchit Wagh T.Y.
