INTRODUCTION
CANDIDA
Is a gener of unicelulars fungies yeast
Are into imperfect fungies ( deuteromycota) of the type blastomyceles and to the family criptococcacease
Have more or less 100 species and 10 causes frequently infections
Gram strain are gram-positive, aerobic
metabolism is primarily
It is part of the normal flora and
mucocutaneous
membranes
Asexual reproduction
4-6 um
CANDIDA TROPICALIS
To infect it should be in yeast form
Species are associated with vaginitis or bronchopulmonary candidiasis
Colonies white and smooth, globoid or ovoid
Produced true micelles
FLUCONAZOLE
AntifungalTreatment and prevention of superficial and systemic fungal infections
Inhibits of the fungal cytochrome P450 1 α demethylase enzyme
prevents the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol
This inhibition
Is used to prevent or eliminate fungal growth
RELATION C. tropicalis is a fungal type blastoconidia that are in our organism for this reason they must suffer adaptability to suit the environment in which they live .
to survive had increased tolerance to stimuli that is generated, They investigated the possibility of presence in soil of such C. tropicalis strains by pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE),
C. tropicalis exhibiting reduced susceptibility to fluconazole from the human hosts and environmental samples. Therefore, to prevent patients from acquiring C. tropicalis with reduced susceptibility to azoles, must be have a prudent use of them to increase the effectiveness of antifungal treatments
OBJETIVE Investigate the presence in soil of C.Tropicalis
strains exhibiting reduced susceptibility to fluconazole and perform a comparison with the human strains

CEPA
SECUENCY 18 cepas exhiben sensibilidad reducida a
fluconazol
Humanas: YM990275, 490, 537, 579, 592, 649 and 659

Candida tropicalis is one of the most frequently isolated nonalbicansCandida species from patients
Barchiesi F, Calabrese D, Sanglard D, Falconi DF, Caselli F, et al. Calvet HM, Yeaman MR, Filler SG
Furthermore,C. tropicalis develops drug resistance in the presence of fluconazolemuch more rapidly than other Candida species

In fungi, drug resistanceis more likely to be the outcome of sequential accumulation ofadaptive mutations in the chromosomes

The observation that azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus isolates recovered from soil and compost were genetically related to clinical resistant isolates suggests the existence of an environmental route for developing drug resistance in fungi. Similar to some antibiotic resistance in bacteria, fluconazole resistance in fungi also involves step-wise mutations affecting more than one
Muller FM, Staudigel A, Salvenmoser S, Tredup A, Miltenberger R, et al
Previous study has shown that in human immunodeficiency virus infected patients, C. albicans and other yeast species were cross-resistant to medical and agricultural azole drugs
CONCLUSIONS Isolates with reduced suceptibility grow
better under influence of azole drugs
The human isolates share an electroforetic pattern with soil isolates with reduced suceptibility
The suceptibles one didn’t have similar electroforetic patterns with soil or human isolates with reduced suceptibility
CONCLUSIONES All humans strains shown reduced
suceptibility to fluconazo
Don't do treatments with long exposures to azoles because it can cause a reduced suceptibility to the treatment and bad results to it
