Thanks to an extensive and efficient international network, ATOP covers the major world markets. For more than two decades we have been studying projects for the industrialization and the production of lines/machines for the production of wound stators and rotors for conventional and special electric motors required by companies located in almost 40 countries. At the same time, providing advanced technological solutions for the most different industries.During these years there has been a continuous growth of reputation and ATOP has become the choice of major international companies due to being a reliable and highly qualified strategic partner.More than 600 automatic lines and more than 2.700 winding machines for stators and rotors have been designed and manufactured. ATOP was founded in 1993 by professionals having decades of experience in the field of machines for the production of wound stators and rotors of electric motors.Due to a consolidated know-how, combined with the continuous search for innovative solutions, in recent years ATOP has reached a global leading position.ATOP is proposed to customers as an ideal partner for the development and design of innovation technology aimed at industrializing and producing conventional and special electric stators and rotors. Particular focus is on production and quality needs of the field where the company operates.

The two decades of well-established experience in the design and manufacturing of manual/stand alone, semi automatic machines, up to lines and/or fully automatic systems with high productivity and quality, allow ATOP to satisfy even the most demanding customers with flexibility and promptness, by means of cutting-edge projects with high technological content.Development and innovation are therefore the basis of the modus operandi of ATOP, always searching for new challenges and successful conclusions, in order to gain constant growth of know-how and design, and production skills.

Incorporation

After leaving AXIS, an Italian producer of machines and lines for the manufacturing of electric motors, Mr. Santandrea, Mr. Ponzio and Mr. Cresti establish ATOP.

Starting point Delivery of the first machine completely designed and developed internally.

Extension works Increase of the existing facilities and building of a new production plant (total covered area 9.500 sqm).

Hairpin technology start

Start of the manufacturing of lines for the production of electric motors for traction, both hybrid and electric, and development of the hairpin technology.

In January 2004, ATOP acquires the Company AXIS S.p.A. together with its production brands: AXIS, PAVESI and CORAGLIOTTO. As well as having preserved the highly specialized staff and know-how, ATOP also acquires the customer portfolio, ensuring continuity in production, technical support and customer care.This acquisition has enabled further consolidation of the presence of ATOP on international markets, expanding the possibilities of application of its technologies in increasingly differenti- ated market areas.

First automatic e-traction line delivered New building of 4.000 sqm completed. First automatic line to manufacture e-traction hairpin stators is delivered.

Brushless stators are conceived to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient, compact and best performing motors. The production of such stators requires increasingly complex assembly processes, combined with a strong design capability. These features are constantly offered by ATOP to its customers.

• Winding of brushless stators: fully programmable wire stratification by means of needle or flyer winding technology for high slot fill and accurate coil wire positioning.

The experience gained in the global automotive market has allowed us to increase our technological know-how to face the new challenges of industrialization of starter motors manufactured with hairpin technology.
