The cleaning process performed by the Elettra blanket washer system is a combination of two different actions :
1) Chemical action given by the reaction of the cleaning solution in contact with the residuals of ink and paper present on the blanket surface.Special nozzles apply the cleaningSpecial nozzles apply the cleaning solution on the cloth which is pressed againist the blanket cylinder by means of a rubber pad.
2) Mechanical action given by pressure of the washer’s rubber pad against the blankets.
