Established in 2014 by Mr. Mohammed Bin Quasem, Incredible Fashions Ltd. (IFL) is an apparel manufacturer dedicated to creating employment opportunities in a safe and healthy working environment.

Our factory specializes in high fashion knitted tops and offers a wide range of fabrics. The fabric base includes 100% Cotton, Viscose, Viscose/Lycra, Modal, Bamboo with weights ranging from 90 to 250 gsm. We also offer garments which are manufactured from organically grown cotton, i.e., without the use of harmful chemicals that damage the environment.

IFL’s main asset is our skilled workforce, without whom the IFL family would not be where it is today within such a relatively short span of time. We take the utmost care to ensure that all workers are well compensated, and are provided a healthy environment where they can thrive - both personally and professionally.

We aim to create and develop long-lasting relationships with customers who share our values and philosophy. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our workers by creating social and economic empowerment, all the while working to find solutions for environmental sustainability.

Working in an industry which provides access to employment to so many women is something we take great pride in. We believe that women’s socioeconomic empowerment greatly impacts the strength of households and communities. Our management consists of two women, who work tirelessly to ensure that IFL women are well taken care of. By the end of 2016, a floor for only women workers will be convened.

Incredible Fashions Ltd. is a family-run business. During establishment of the business in 2014, Mohammed Bin Quasem was joined in the management by his wife, Samina Quasem and son, Shayer Bin Mohammed Quasem. In 2016, the management was joined by Ashna Huq Quasem, Mr. Quasem’s daugter-in-law. The day-to-day running of the factory is led by General Manager, Mr. Eftekhar Mahbub Sunny and his team.

Incredible Fashions Ltd. follows very stringent procedures and an A.Q.L. (Acceptable Quality Level) of 2.5. The quality assurance process in Incredible Fashions Ltd. is a continuous process, which begins from the moment fabric enters the factory until the time the shipment of garments leaves the factory. We have our own quality assurance systems as per the international standards through all processes, which is available for review any time.

NEEDLE DETECTION AND WASTE METAL CONTROL POLICY

All garments pass through a needle detector to detect any possible broken needles or other waste metal

• Broken needle log (Sewing and Tag gun Needles) – all needles are distributed only by a single person who will never issue a needle to the concerned operator if all parts of the needle are not returned to him. All parts of the broken needle are taped broken together in a logbook. This is to ensure that no parts of broken needles are ever present in a garment.

• We also have hand held needle detectors, which can pin point exactly where the broken needle part is located.

• Used cutting blades log – all used cutting blades are taped in a log book to ensure employee’s and our client’s safety.

• Waste metal box is available inside the factory to dispose up all waste metals, if there are any.

• All the scissors are issued to the floor with proper records in the stores, if they need to replace one that they need to return the broken one to the stores.

•  Iftar Bonuses are provided to all workers during the month of Ramadan

•  “Melon Mela” is a yearly picnic arranged for all workers, to celebrate successes and bridge the gap between workers and management

•  ‘HerHealth’, an initiative of Change Associates is implemented at IFL. Under the project, all female workers have access to education on health, safety and family planning

SAFETY AND SECURITY Worker safety and security is of utmost importance to us at IFL. We have implemented several worker safety policies, including fire and electrical safety mechanisms.

FIRE SAFETY MEASURES   We have imported Two Hours Rated Fire doors for faster and safe evacuation in case of short circuits / fires in the workplace. Smoke and heat detectors, Auto Fire Alarm System, PA (Public Addressable) System and all type fire equipment are installed in all areas of the factory. Besides that we have a minimum of four stairs and exits in each floor for safe passage.   Incredible Fashions Ltd. has appointed a dedicated Fire and Safety Officer trained with the Governments Fire department to ensure fire safety as per National law. We have also trained 30% of our work force on fire fighting measures from Fire Service and Civil Defence The factory has its own reservoir of 100,000 gallons of water at all times in the event of an emergency. Emergency exits are fitted with emergency lights and evacuation marks with the direction to ensure speedy and unhindered evacuation should the need ever arise. All the emergency exits are kept unlocked during working hours and exits security is maintained by the security personnel.

SAFETY AND SECURITY Worker safety and security is of utmost importance to us at IFL. We have implemented several worker safety policies, including fire and electrical safety mechanisms.

SECURITY MEASURES   Security Personnel are available on site 24 hours a day and 365 days per year. When the factory is shut down for the evening, a security supervisor remains there and keeps records throughout the night, which are reviewed the next morning by a responsible officer of the company.   In addition to that, only authorized personnel are allowed to enter our factory premises and they are accompanied during their visit by a responsible officer of the company.   All the exports are closely monitored by the security guard. The packed merchandise is transported by closed container covered vans, which are checked for any signs of contamination prior to loading and are accompanied to the sea port/airport by an officer of the company who checks the seal prior to handing over the freight to the forwarder for onward transportation
