About Risk Placement Services, Inc. (RPS)We are pleased to present information about our operations, our products, and most importantly, our people.

RPS was established as an Illinois corporation in May 1997. We are one of the nation’s largest Managing General Agent with a strong focus on Binding, Programs, Standard Lines Aggregation, Executive Lives, Healthcare and Open Brokerage business.

Our National NetworkWith headquarters located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, our organization extends to more than 80 branch office and satellite locations. Each location has unique expertise and operates semi-autonomously. Growth through new merger partners is ongoing. Our TerritoryRPS is licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Additionally, all branch managers, underwriters and brokers are licensed in their marketing territory. All licenses are in good standing with all state authorities.

Largest MGA/Underwriting ManagerBusiness Insurance magazine has ranked RPS as the largest MGA/Underwriting Manager in the country for several consecutive years (2008–2014). This ranking is based on wholesale premium from Property & Casualty placements.

Our Insurance CompaniesRPS takes our carrier relationships seriously. We work with admitted and nonadmitted carriers with binding or brokerage capabilities. A.M. Best ratings of A- or better are required.
